USB Portal compatability [CLOSED]

I won a SSA XBOX disc on a bidding sight, and Ive gotten both the games on the Wii.
The game doesnt come with a portal.

Can I use the Wii portal I have or does it need its own one?

It needs its own one. Xbox portals are totally different from others.

Yeah, from the sounds of it,all the portals are inter-compatible, EXCEPT XBox. XBox can only use the XBox portal, XBox portal only works with the XBox. So I hear. Someone is developing an app to read and backup figures, and it works fine EXCEPT with the XBox portal, LOL! So yes, the XBox one is different.

On the plus side, in SSA it was the only wired one, so no matter if you get a SSA or Giants portal, they're both wired, no eating batteries (though at this point I would suggest you get a Swap Force portal, as only Swap Force portals will properly read Swap Force characters and work with Swap Force, etc. etc.)

Just realized this means I can buy a cheap 360 Giants "game only" on eBay now I have the SF xbox portal.
Stop playing Giants on the Wii with it's poor graphics.
I may draw the line at getting SSA for 360 too though as I have the PC one.
