I was looking to see if anyone else had this same problem with their new SSF portal. Mine constantly keeps cutting out on me. I'll have a character on it and suddenly it will act like I took the character off, despite the fact that I never touched it. The face where you put the Skylander continues to change colors, but I can tell it isn't reading anything because any lightcores or giants will stop glowing. Am I doing something wrong with my portal, or did I manage to score the one deffective portal in the bunch? Anyone else having this same problem at all? It's really starting to make me mad, since I've been trying to level up Spyro from level 10 a number of times now, but it cuts out each time I've gotten him past that. Then when it finally comes back to its senses again, everything I've just done to the character has been undone! Anger does not begin to express how I feel about this new portal! Anyone who can be helpful with this problem would be greatly appreciated!

Did you check the Portal's cable to be sure it is securely inserted into the USB port?

Yes I have, and I've moved it around to several USB slots on my 360. Edit: I had thought maybe it was interference from the wireless controller (the portal sits near me) or having too many figures around the portal trying to interact with it if they fall over. I've since moved the controller further away and I still have this problem and there are no longer any figures on the desk. So I thought maybe it was the wireless internet connection on my laptop. I turned it off and moved it away from the portal, so that the only thing left on my desk as the portal and my game TV with the Xbox on top. Still it happens. My brother in law has his sitting on his surround sound device next to his TV and Xbox at his house and he doesn't get any issues with it being near that stuff.

Would anyone happen to have the number of Activision, or at least the place on their website where I can fill out a claim? I suppose an online claim would be quicker for me than waiting on hold for a while... as much as I love the "on hold" music. Thanks for the responses so far!

Ah, explains why mine is doing the same. I thought my baby hit the plug or something but it periodically acts as though I have the wrong portal installed.

I saw portal drop outs on the Wii U with other devices plugged into the system's other USB ports. Unplugged and it was fine.
No issues with the PS3 version. |

It was weird that mine would not read the Buckler bottom at first unless it was on one little spot of the portal. Now it works fine.

My original Tree Rex only lights up around the edge of the portal. But everyone else works perfect!
