Russia and US may team up to fight asteroids on collison course with Earth. [CLOSED]

At a meeting, there were US people that had something to do with nuclear weapons and there were also former USSR bomb designers, they were both willing to work with each other to stop asteroids heading torwards Earth. What are your thoughts on this?

about time they did something. the world can't exactly deal with its problems if it knows it could be hit by an asteroid or meteor at some point. the meteor explosion in Russia last February proved this.

An asteroid isn't coming towards Earth. It's just if an asteroid that threatened life was on a collison course with Earth.

Well I'm pretty sure the US and Russian have the most powerful space programs. ...Except for the part where the American one isn't getting funding right now. >.>
