The TRU in my area (Central Florida) was putting out their supply of Dino Rang yesterday. It appeared they had 4-5 boxes of the figure. So, if you are in need of this SSA figure, they are showing up in Central Florida! It is the same figure from SSA. Just a re-release.

Dino Rang is going to be a bust for them sales-wise. Now we'd all rejoice if stores were to restock SSA Boomer (while all scalpers would let out concurrent screams). They should have held a fan vote on the Skylanders website as to which retired Skylander to bring back.

It's not outside the realm of possibilities that there could be a Boomer re-release in the future. If nothing else, this re-release of the "forgotten" Dino-Rang makes it at least a little bit more likely that there will be a Boomer re-release eventually.

I don't know if Activision pays much attention to the secondary market prices, but I suspect that they probably do have some employee who tracks the prices, at least occasionally. My guess (and yes, it's a guess) is that Activision will wait until series 2 Bash fully cements itself as a "replacement" for Boomer on the secondary market, and we'll then see a re-release after that. I would not be shocked to learn that Activision manipulates distribution to ensure that at 1 or 2 specific non-variant characters remain "hard to find" on the secondary market at all times. Doing so helps maintain interest among collectors of all types, even if it simultaneously frustrates some of them.

Given their execution on programming the game, I'm going to go out on the limb and say there's no rhyme or reason to availability of figures other than the company's general shoddy record in producing/distributing them.

This is the same crop of SSA figures that currently are (well) stocked at my local Toys R Us. Can't be 100% certain, but looks like either a re-release or a warehouse clean-out for certain specific SSA characters recently. Whirlwind, Flameslinger, Double Trouble, Drobot, and Ignitor, plus a few Voodood, in addition to the forthcoming Dino-Rang re-release at Toys R Us.

they have some dino-rangs at the toys rus us in kansas city missouri i think i counted 8 or 9 just hanging up on pegs. no one seemed to want em
