My local TRU has completed their aisle reset and are ready to go for Swap Force. A full aisle has been dedicated to it and it was packed with stuff. Lots of S:SA figures had been put out, nothing fancy aside from a couple of Voodood's.
They also had both the Giants and Swap Force tackle boxes out. I decided to grab one because they look very, very nice. Their price of $24.99 is not that nice. I grabbed the Giants logo one because I didn't want to deal with any street date violations at the register, but that happened anyway. The guy agreed that it was silly to street date a Giants tackle box so he overrode it and sold it to me anyway.
I managed to get every loose Giants line small figure into one box despite the box claiming it holds "Up to 20". Granted they are packed in a little tight but I'm not cramming any down with the lid, they're just not all sitting properly on their bases. It will probably take another one to try and cram all of the Giants into it, but we'll find out Sunday when I grab a couple more with the 40% BOGO as $15 is way more reasonable for these things.
Overall these things are nice. They're stackable and interlockable, the artwork is bright and attractive and there's quite a bit of space in them if you take out the dividers. Right now the only cons I can find is obviously the price and the fact that as of yet there's no S:SA version.

Cool; I retired my SSA figures (minus the forgotten five) into one of those PowerA bags and would probably prefer these since you can stack 'em. I agree a SSA tackle would be nice for me, since majority of my Giants will be used in the new game. I'll need the Giants tackle for the next game when I retire more of them then.
Although my MO will be to upgrade ALL figures with EVERY game, I only want to keep in my display case the latest incarnation of each figure with no dupes. I need a strategy for all of my in game/chase variants, though.

The "Giants" one shows pictures of the box when it's opened.. I can't say that I think that looks good at all, especially with where they put the dividing walls.. |

When I first saw the tackle boxes I wanted them. I think think they are great for stacking. However I ended up going with the cases, as it is hard to argue with 11.24. The tackle boxes would have been neater, but the cases will encourage my boys to store them in their rooms, and now that they have two each, it makes it easier for them to not reveal just how many they have.
Yes you can still place an pickup up order to get this one: http://www.walmart.com/ip/POWE...S3-3DS/21677327 LOL Now I'm considering a set of smaller cases so if they do go to a friends house I can encourage them to bring only a few, and leave the rare/expensive/heart-attack price skylanders at home. These cases do make for an easy and relatively safe haul.

I have both of the tackle boxes as i ordered them from tru.com so i could see what they looked like. Honestly for $25 i think they suck. I plan to return them and keep the stanleys for now. However i did walmart store pickup 3 of those cases CRbeau1 mentioned above, I just have to get them while I'm away next week as no one in my area had them.
