Hands up those still suffering problems a fortnight after major update [CLOSED]

Let's keep this simple folks. No detailed discussion. Just reply with your user ID and the number or numbers that apply to you.

1. I still have a corrupt cloud save
2. I have a mismatch between my in-game friends count and the Activate friends list.
3. I cannot successfully visit more than HALF of my friends, visiting results in an error with no gems but still marks the friend as visited, or visits (even to Aura) result in the app crashing.
4. My game is missing Ramses and my characters are maxed out at Level 10.
5. I have reported a more serious issue (pulsating houses, items missing, game refuses to boot, etc) on Activision Assist in the past fortnight, and have received no reply.
6. I am experiencing none of these issues with my game.

Used to have #2 - kept removing/adding til Activate synced all users with game
Possibly #3 - prior to corruption issues becoming prevalent, I could visit more than 80% of friends (with no crashes, just error message). I stopped visiting anyway, but tried a few today and experienced multiple crashes, so I'm stopping again.

& now the game won't boot up, constantly says "connecting". Once in awhile, it will say "loading" but it does not load and soon repeats the "connecting" message.

That happened to me very briefly. I switched to airplane mode and loaded to my local save. I turned wifi back on and then tried to pull up my friend list. It reconnected, cloud saved, and has had no problems since. Your mileage may vary, but it worked for me.

And I suppose I, like nearly everyone, have to report issue 2.

And my game just reset back to level 1 from 38 after I was stuck in the save game kill for four days.

2 and 3 and partial of 5 - (though not reported, I have been having issues with the game refusing to load or "boot" and that started started today).

I went through my list and deleted and added until it finally matched. I've noticed some of the missing people in game are the same on our games, but I don't know what the problem is.

Also, I am not able to load a saved game from the cloud. Works fine in my IPad but it is impossible to load in my IPod. Application just shuts down.

1, 2, and game crashes every save - cloud, local, auto. Have been tweeting for a week with activision. Today they wanted to know when I last saved locally, but don't know how to tell them. My # are the same on or off wifi.

Cleared 2 mostly, but 3 is horrible.

Not sure about cloud saves - used to periodically say "Saving to Cloud" now just says "Saving". Afraid to try to force a cloud save.

2 & 3, although it seems that when I get a new Activate friend, it has been a lot faster putting them in my list (sometimes almost immediately), so it's gotten a lot better (possibly fixed?). I wonder if I should delete and re-invite those who aren't on my list.

Item 2: I had to remove friends who accepted me, because they didn't appear on my game list, because then I can't send gifts to them. When a friend request my friendship usually works.

Item 3: five days ago I visit my friends (half or so), but for two days ago, I can hardly visit any friends, I almost lost the game. I even had problems visiting Aura

add another item 7:Unable to play the same game on 2 devices
(I explain it: before the update, I moved my game from ipad to iphone for when I was not at home, never had problems. After update I can't install the game in the iphone with my ipad's progress, I only can start from the beginning).

obidawsn: I already tried deleting my friends and going to request friendship. Some of them didn't answered me the second time, and other added me again without success, I don't see them in my play list. Luckily you're on my list since before, I send gifts to you and I receive yours gifts. Thanks.

1 is crazy. My saves are corrupting constantly. It takes multiple attempts to save successfully in order to transfer devices. Its such a hassle I am playing on the go less.

2 I had to fix manually by crosschecking the list.

3. So buggy I stopped even trying. I am sure 1 and 3 are linked.

Have not checked 3 because I do not visit everyone all the time, usually only a handful.

I have these:

For #3 - it is even worse for me - every second or in the best case third visit app is crashing into iOS.

I now regularly (once a day) backup my iPad's data manually to my PC via iTunes and keep separate backups from at least a week.
I don't play on multiple devices.

When I try to back up to itunes, it says it can't back up the apps. Does that mean it saves the saved games but not the apps themselves? I was confused on that.

Oh, and I'm also having trouble getting the Monday update on time... I still don't have Barkley available to me, and I have turned the app on and off, but nothing new pops up. To be honest, I was rather surprised that I had the Super Tuesday event when I signed on this morning.

There's still been no clarification on this forum about why Thumpback's House was removed MID-update.

Number two affects just about all users across platforms and operating systems.

It did the same thing to me and then wouldn't let me log into activate. But I gave it time and tried again and I was able to get in and my game was still there.

I too experienced that where it wanted to start over, and the one where it went 'connecting,loading back to connecting and froze'. I panicked a little at the start but just let it sit for an hour or so, then it was back to normal. Happy for that, but frustrating when I couldn't play when I wanted.

Yes, application are not included, only documents and data (saved game files) are in backup.
You can manage what data and documents will be included into backup on your iDevice in iOS iCloud settings. Then it tells you how big your backup size will be. Then when you have connected your iDevice to the PC in iTunes you can choose to manually backup your data from your iDevice somewhere in the iTunes' device properties menu I believe.

I had a corrupted cloud save, but luckily I had a back up of my game on another device. Activate finally got back to me and this is what they said: --
Unfortunately we do not have any way to pin point exactly what the issue had been, but it seems very likely that it was a corrupted file, which can be caused by any number of factors. If you have any more questions, or the issue happens again, please contact us again.

When I asked what I can do if it happens again, I was given this advice: --
If the issue does happen again, we will definitely be able to help out. There are a couple steps that we would want you to contact us in order to take, but we would need the email that the Activate email is a associated with, a general outline of your progress before the issue, and if possible some screen shots of your purchase history of all the gems you have bought, and a general number of how much you have spent on those as well.


So we better take photos of our islands, skylanders, companions, storehouse and keep the receipts of gem purchases. And back up our games.

I used to really love this game and unlike any other I've actually paid money on odd occasions but with all these bugs I beginning to think enough is enough. Why on earth would they roll out more updates when they haven't managed to fix all the problems which are currently plaguing players?

Seriously, My iCloud save got jacked up and ALL of my progress is now gone. I'm expected now to start over, but why? I'm a little temped with the new Swap Force coming out, but I doubt that I will.
