Hey guys! I've started a project on a theme for Windows XP, a Spyro theme nonetheless...

I will be adding a screenshot of what I have done so far, let me know what you think of this idea.

DUDE! how can you change the star button and everything, and all the colours? Cus I wanna do that but I've got vista so I'd need to make my own, can you tell me how you did that? Especialy with the start button thing?

Well, you can set the colors by going to Display Settings (right click on desktop and select properties) and going to the Appearance tab. You will need to choose Windows Classic style and Windows Standard for the color sceme. Then click adavanced to choose colors. The desktop image and screensaver can be selected by going to the other tabs. For the cursor goto Mouse in the control panel. You can save the settings to a file from the first tab in Display Settings.

That is true, but the only stock colors are Blue, Silver, and Olive Green. I use a program to customize everything, and photoshop to color the pallets.

But you can have any color if you change it to Windows Classic style and Windows Standard color sceme.

Also some system icons (e.g. My Computer) can be changed by going to the desktop tab in the Display dialog box, and clicking the botton that says "customize desktop". System sounds (e.g. the one it plays when windows starts up) by going to Sounds and Audio Devices in the control panel.

All of what I said can be found in Help and Support, and presumably Vista has something similar to that.

When it's done, I can give it to you guys I will be making a theme for each character in DotD

Thats going to be alot of work , but it's going to be awesome

What program do you use to customize everything?

@Crashdude55: When it is complete I will post a download link. Like I said, I'm making a theme for each DotD character as follows:

Spyro
Cynder
Sparx
Hunter
Ignitus
Cyril
Volteer
Terrador
Malefor
Maybe the Chronicler (need more pics of him first )
And one with every character.

@Sheep:you can see it as the second tab, StyleBuilder

Mine's looks a lot like yours, but the bottom bar and everything is black (my second fav colour...<3)

My brother is going to kill me if I'll customize our Windows all in Cynder, but that's not gonna stop me! When the Cynder theme will be done, could you post a link, so that I could download it? ^,^
Oh, and another thing, when I'll set it, will I be able to change it all back in just one action and will it be easy to do? It's just that I'll have to always be changing it all back, when my brother will be kicking me of the computer..... So I'll need to change it quick, or else I'll go to the world of pain....

Compared to the normal XP themes, it will be great indeed! ^,^ Man, I can't wait to put one on my Windows! With Cynder! hmmm... Hey Nalemor, maybe you should make a theme with Corrupted Cynder, too. What do you think? Sounds good, if you ask me ^,^
