I am an Apple user I have no idea how things work on PCs.

When I plug my iPad or iPhone into my computer i have my settings set to automatically back up the device or I can choose to do it manually. I then can restore all or part thereof, eg Skylanders from whichever backup I choose.

Then if there is any problem with the game I have not lost everything.

Doesn't this not work for PC users?

I too am a apple user. As you raise, it is important to select the option in iTunes "not to allow the automatic sync in ipad, iphone, ipod. You can find the option in preferences - devices (I guess that PC will be the same).

If you do not have that option selected, only plug the ipad to the computer automatically syncs (if the game is corrupted when you're playing, you immediately crushing good copy and save the game that was just teasing).

Every day I make a copy of the ipad with the right game, not just leave it to sync, and when I played and progressed smoothly, then I manually copy over that. If the game is annoyed I can always recover (as you explain) a game further back.

Not if you understand well, because my English is not very good ..

It works the same way on a PC but how many people plug their apple device into a PC/Mac on a regular basis? I go months without doing it.

You can always manually backup your data from iPad via iTunes on PC and then go to the file system and copy this fresh backup folder to some other save location to prevent it from being overwritten automatically later. Default backup locations is different depending on Windows XP/Vista/7 - you can google for it, I don't remember where it is on top of my head right now - for Win7 it is something like \Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\LocalRoaming\AppleComputer\Backup

Hello Pico,
Well, make backups often depends of each. A little over a month, almost lost the game because suddenly, after visiting kingdoms, my kingdom appeared with sanctuaries broken, skylanders unable to travel, I could only touch on it, but did not accumulate money or anything.

Miraculously retrieved an old backup (from a few days ago) and I lost about 200 gems I had bought. Since then I make a backup every day if I can, especially now, with the problems that exist in the cloud.

Still I can't install my game on the iphone (with its progress), and therefore I can't move the game from ipad to iphone ( I used ot for when I'm on the street)

I recommend backing up from time to time..... From what I see not only I have problems with the game since last update.

Technically I back up but I do it to iCloud. I understand the logic but doing a hard backup to a physical device seems counterintuitive to why I own a tablet. I have it to cut free from a desktop/laptop.

On an unrelated note I started carrying an iPad mini for work and purposely kept the 'fun' apps off of it and I'm amazed at how productive I've been on days I spend a lot of time on the run.
