Are gem deals supposed to disappear? [CLOSED]

I got two special deals on gems at the same time, $.99 for 150 and double gems, 550, in pack two. I was planning to buy the .$99 deal three times (I've bought it up to five times before) to get a dragon lair at 800. There was still 58 minutes on the timer. I bought it once and the gem pile 2 deal disappeared. I bought it a second time and it disappeared. Are they supposed to do that? Didn't used to until the time was over.

Bummer. Really kills the utility of the $.99 for 300 deal.

Actually, they haven't been single use the last few times but it stops telling you about them after the first buy. The notification screen and the sale banner go away but for me the sale continued until the normal expiry. Admittedly, it's been a couple weeks since the last sale pop up I got.

The last sale

on my game was 600 gems + 30 wish stones in pack 2 but that was before the dragon lair came out. I was able to buy it 3 times since I had just gotten an iTunes card. I kinda surprised me that the game didn't stop me from buying it 3 times in a row.
