Half Life 3 really confirmed? [CLOSED]

forget all Valve's hardware announcements, this could be what we've all been waiting for.

someone recently found out that the Half Life 3 title was trademarked by Valve. you can read the article here: http://www.gameinformer.com/b/...-trademark.aspx

your thoughts?

personally, I think they may not be making HL3 relatively soon, but they may just have trademarked the title for future reference. either way, it's nice to know Valve at least considered doing this.

Meh. Even if it's true, filing for a trademark is no surefire indication that anything is close. For example, Insomniac Games filed a trademark for "Sunset Overdrive" at the beginning of this year. We didn't learn about it until June and we're not getting the game until sometime in 2014, I'm guessing. <.<
