Game has reset to zero [CLOSED]

Well, show's over for me folks.
My game wasn't saving today and it seemed like groundhog day. I would play the game but when I closed and reopened the game, the stats weren't updating. Eventually it would close every time it tried to save or when I tried to connect to Activate.
I deleted and reinstalled the app and then got load errors 12 and 14, saying that save has been disabled and that the error was being looked into.
So I tried to log out of activate and back in - but, the game has now started from zero under my activate name, so save is no longer disabled, but it sees me as a complete newbie.

I'll reiterate, I hope the developers focus on fixing the issues caused by this week's update rather than on pushing out new content.

My money is on new content.

The same exact thing has happened to me. It's been that way for almost a week I had all skylanders, just missing two alter egos. I'm not starting from scratch.it was fun while it lasted, I guess.

Sorry to hear about your crash and reset! What is your activate username and email address? What was your kingdom level before the reset? Approx. how much money did you spend on gems?

Approx. how much money did the player spend on gems? That's an interesting question to ask, and one I can't quite comprehend the purpose of in helping to fix the corrupt game. I hope the level of assistance players are entitled to isn't somehow linked to the number of gems they've purchased rather than earned.

Well, I too have been reset to Zero and am incredibly frustrated. I just posted the following plea in a private message through Activision's Facebook. I hope to play again but I will not be starting over. If I cannot get my game back or some crazy gem equivalency, then it looks I am done. It has been a good run and I enjoyed interacting with my fellow Lost Islands junkies (My name is mcquist5 and I have a Lost Islands addiction).

My Activision ID is mcquist5 and I play Skylanders Lost Islands. My game has reset to zero, please help. I have been playing for more than 8 months and have spent $75 on Gems. I had 2,800 Gems in the bank, $26,000,000 in gold, 385 Stones, 2,900,000 energy. I had all but 2 Skylanders (no Hoppity or Cupid), nearly every House, 3 HQs, 3 of the Boy's only (can't remember their names, 3 of every Shrine except magic in which I had 4, 6 Bed and Breakfasts, 6 Fisheries, 8 Taverns....please help. This is incredibly frustrating to have lost everything. I have Swap Force on Pre-order and this really puts a damper on my excitement.

Did you play on two devices. I am curious as to if there is something in common with the people that are getting set back to zero. If it has something to do with playing on two devices or kudo collecting from other people's accounts. Would appreciate you sharing what you were doing when it reset to zero. Thanks. Also sorry this has happened to you. It is ashame so many people are losing their progress in this game.

Months ago, I had been playing on two devices (Ipad and Iphone) but 30 days ago, I deleted the app off of the Ipad and have been playing solely on my phone. I played first thing this morning and everything was fine. When I checked in again 4 hours later, I was being shown how to summon Spyro...

Mine reset to zero, I was only playing on an ipad and not visiting other islands. I did however have the option to load someone else's saved game from the cloud for a week or so. When that option went away the game reset a few days later. I setup the game in the morning with sanctuaries / houses and then 8 hours later after work it decided to reset and summon spyro smilie

I was level 38 at 70%. Let me know how to send you a private message so I can send you my email address without it being seen on an open forum (thsnks for the tip Pico, Skylander-withdrawl is setting in and I am not thinking clearly).

Should I also post everything to the Facebook wall or has the process already been initiated?

PS. I opened my Lost Islands app, hoping to find out what email address I had used to register and saw 71 friend requests. I am pretty sure I shed a tear...thank you Lost Islands peeps.

Mcquist please remove your post and send it to the guy via private message. It's not a great idea to hand out that info on public forums.

ATV guy can you please be proactive and request that people reach out to you via a private channel. You are asking people to post two of the three items needed to identify an account.

ATVIAssist,

I forgot what email account I used for my kids' Activate account. I know the Activate ID and pw, but to log into activate via lost islands on their device requires the email (they removed/reinstalled the app). What can I do? The forgot password function requires an email address, and I've done trial and error and haven't guessed the right one.

My game totally reset as well. I was level 31 (or 32) with just about every akylander except a couple of alter egos and one or two legendaries.

to ATVIAssist or someone who can help me............

Today I made my n-th attempt to get my game on the iphone. I loaded the game again and tried to log in from the iphone in my account, it seems he tries, but then it gives me error.
No way, I tried to log in with my username, I tried starting the game again .... and no way.
Of course, later, when loading the game on the iPad, he started with a late game .... another scare ...... again activate and log onto a game gets me this morning.
Conclusion: it seems to me is keeping the games in the cloud from the ipad ..... then ..... How can not get my game on the iphone?¿Is there a problem with the iPhones?
(nor say why, but I have the idea that the problem may be a incompatibility with gamecenter ¿may be?)

Does anyone know what is going on? Does anyone have a similar problem?

Hi ATVIAssist,

I just sent you a private message and I hope you can help.

My game crashes every time it tries to save. It starts up correctly as it was on Saturday, but no progress can be made.

Is it helpful that I can see the exact state my game was in?

Given a list of exactly what was on an island, can you rebuild islands and make a new save that will allow me, and others like me, to continue playing?

Did anyone actually get help with this issue? I know I did not. I sent my info to ATVAssit here and on Facebook and received no help. I didn't even get my alter egos I had won restored. Just had to start the game over from scratch.

When you say you are not getting help, do you mean you are not getting any response from Activision? Or that there has been communication, but seemingly no progress?

If you are not getting any sort of response, I recommend phoning the support line. That was suggested to me in another thread and it did feel good to talk to someone in real time.

If it seems no progress is being made, hang in there! My game has been fixed, and so have the games of many others. One key point is that they don't tell you it's fixed - you just have to keep trying and one day you see an Activision Support save to select.
