"Oh pleae, not even your own mother would believe that. If you are going to pretend that you care, just call me puny." Scratch said with a huge amount of bitterness. He didn't want Roark as an enemy, but that didn't stop him from not wanting to do anything with him.

Scratch interpreted his commentary and laughter as cruel mockery. "What psycho game are you playing you tear-spotted cat!? Don't try to be funny, cause you ain't. One more joke like that and I will pull one of those whiskers of yours off!" he threatened, believing that the cheetah was only making fun of him. He was too blinded by bitterness and pride to even bother interpreting what Roark, or anyone in his life for that matter, meant.

Scratch demanded, though revealing that indeed had something in his past that made him the way he was. He didn't share it with Marahute, so why should he share it with Roark and the rest? He continued to follow Nero, refusing to continue the conversation.

"I'm doing just fine just a little further we should be at the cave." Nero said. He looked at the clouds. They were getting dark and stormy. "We need to find shelter quickly! There's a storm coming in. And it's not safe to be out in a storm not just because of the lightning, rain, and wind that comes with them." Nero said with an intended view that there was something more in the storm than rain and lightning.

As the storm approached a bloodcurdling rore could be heard from within the thickening fog and rain. Nero shook with fear as he heard the rore. "Keep very, very quiet!" He wispered to everyone. "It's close."

Then some rocks and dirt just above the entrance of the small cave fell down. Then a deep and bloodchilling growl was heard just outside. Then suddenly a flash of lightning shown it's shadow outside the cave it stood on two legs and had a tail and arms with claws on it's fingers.

Nero shook with emence fear as he saw the creature's shadow.

Scratch remained quiet for the rest of the commotion. While inside, he didn't want to admit he was a little scared of the shadow, but remained calm and rational whatsoever, but just to make sure, he took a little shelter by landing, of all places, Sayan's back. He trusted him just a little more than he did Roark, and besides, Sayan owned him, so he imagine that the leopard would have enough "honor" to defend him if things got ugly...

The shadow went away and the slarling slowly went away.

Nero let out a sigh of relief. "That was close.....to close." He looked around at everyone and saw Scratch was on Sayan's back. "Is everyone ok?" He asked.

"It's a beast that is said to roam this mountain. Locals fear to tread outside during a storm because it's said for any who are out during a thunderstorm are never seen again." Nero said. "Those who clame to have seen the Storm Beast say it's like a raptor like dinosaur except it has a tung that comes out like that of a comleian(sorry if I spelled it wrong) to catch prey and that it has spike like spines along its back and tail." Nero said.

"No! You must not go looking for it! The creature will shurly kill you before you have time to hear it!" Nero said. "Many have tryed to capture and kill it, all have failed and are missing or dead." He said.

The storm was beginning to pass and soon the thunderstorm was gone.

"Good the storm has passed. It should be safe to travel up to the cave." He said.

When they exited the small shelter cave Nero saw huge three toe tracks the creature left behind. "Look at these. They are huge!"

"Aw come on, that was probably... a big bear or something. This forest is full of wacky, abnormal stuff, it wouldn't surprise me if there are even mutated animals around here." Scratch said very firmly, refusing to believe in the supernatural. He was trying very hard to search for a rational explanation to all that.

"Oh come on Rocko, it's not like the speed counts. I have seen traps before. The issue is if you stand in the wrong place. We need someone who is good at intercepting and identifying traps." Scratch explained, doubting that anyone there knew. He feared that they may need some exterior help.

Story: For much of his life, Sayan was held in a zoo along with a female. They were potential mates, though the humans limited their interaction. He remained at that particular zoo 'till the humans decided to transfer him to another zoo. This is when he took his chance and escaped to the wild. He hoped to find another of his kind, so that he may no longer be alone. However, he got captured instead. He was sold to some wealthy Russian, collared, mistreated, and abused. Our of pure desperation, he escaped. He has since remained free, but only by constantly staying on the move and dodging various poachers. He soon learned that his valuable collar made him a target and began to seek out the legendary eagle he always heard about. He had hoped that this eagle would know how to remove his collar and finally free him from this burdon.

But most crows have learned the human ways, so I am pretty sure one can identify a trap." he then explained, though he wondered if that kind of forest had crows in it. "If only this forest had crows, I could ask for it's help...maybe I can ask around..."
