Frankly the only character's death I cried at was Terra in the Teen Titans cartoon. I nearly did at Zack in FF7 Crisis Core and at Brook's in his backstory in One Piece. That's really it.

The only characters death or near deaths i've ever cried at is the

death of the dogs in Where the red Fern Grows and Toy Story 3's inferno scene and the ending scene.

I didn't know it was that sad of a moment when I saw it!
I only learned a couple of months back how many people cried at that scene and how horrible of a scene they had seen it as.

For me the only death where I almost cried was

Peter Parker's Uncle Ben in The Amazing Spiderman. It's not really that the character is gone, it's how the scene plays out

That scene in Toy Story 3, I smiled and was like "Dude!! Toy Story just got dark!!!"

Where the Red Fern Grows, I didn't cry, but I remember finding it sad.

Ok, so I cried when that one dog died in that movie where he waits for his master...and I was sad when the dogs in Red Fern died...and kinda did when that one angel type thing in Super Paper Mario made her last (Supposed to be) words.

I'll post my heartbreaking moment as well!

The only time I found myself in tears in a cartoon is when Nagisa died in Clannad. As well with her daughter's death.
