Well, you had to know I make a KH one just as I did last time, anyway on to business.


One night I had gotten back into playing Dream Drop Distance after a break, wishing to level up some Dream Eaters a bit more. My personal preferred spot to level up is The World That Never Was as Riku, just prefer that layout more. Anyway, I was at the one area where there is a bridge over a large space of nothingness. I fought my way through some enemies, using Flowmotion for kicks.

After one of my attacks, I found myself over the side of the bridge. Now, normally this is impossible as there are invisible barries blocking all walls to prevent such an event from occuring, yet somehow, I'd broken through the barrier. Riku was falling, going down an enourmous fall that appeared to stretch on for what would be equal to miles. Nothing was below him but the bottomless glowing blue pit that goes into the World situated just below the castle. Naturally of course, my Dream Eaters teleported to accompany me, bound to follow their master.

Riku continued to fall for what seemed like minutes. Continuing to plumet to this bottomless pit; the game lacking any programming for a situation such as this. Though I knew deep down I'd hit some glitch of some kind and should just reset the game, part of me was curious as to how far he'd go, and what would happen if he reached any form of end to the drop. Something I regret.

Eventually, he reached the glowing blue pit and continued into it, the screen going bright blue-ish white. After a few moments it faded to black. It was at this time I was about to press the home button, however, just before I did, an image faded into the screen. Riku was standing in the Realm of Darkness, his Dream Eaters having mysteriously vanished; which should be impossible as one cannot unequip Dream eaters, merely swap them out for others.

The Realm of Darkness Riku was standing in seemed much like the one you could play in as Aqua in Birth By Sleep Final Mix, however the glowing lights on the pillars were deep red instead of blue. There was also no background music. Curious as to my surroundings, I moved onward, still able to control Riku. I followed the dingy gray stone path through this world. As I progressed, things seemed to grow darker, Riku seemed to move slower. After a few twists and turns I reached a clearing. A blood red version of a Darkside appeared before. I finally entered a battle. The battle seemed rather one-sided with the creature having highly over-powered attacks. I did what I could, barely making a dent in it's health. Any hit dealt seemed to reginerate instantly.

Finally, my ability to dodge and cure failed me and he finally defeated me. Instead of the usual continue screen, the scene continued. The monster picked up Riku's frail and lifeless body, then reached inside his chest, blood spurting out. The creature ripped out Riku's soul, a pale glowing form of him from his body then cast the mangled body aside into the abyss.

The screen was then engulfed in flames. I had no choice at this point but to exit the game and reenter to return from my last save point. I am now very careful to avoid going through the wall again.
