So today in English class, we were talking about archetypes in stories, so then the teacher says, "Harry Potter and Jesus Christ are the same in that regard", so I'm led to believe since DB has a Nimbus and so does Harry Potter that by connection, Dragon Ball is a retelling of the Bible. Goku = Jesus Christ.

the Bible even states this

Exodus 14:21

Then Kakarot stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided.

Anyone who knows their bible can see that Goku is the Son of God as depicted in the bible.

Proverbs 30:4 "Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?"

Job 9:4
He is wise in heart and mighty in strength

Job 19:26 "Even after my skin is destroyed, Yet from my flesh I shall see God;"

We also know that Goku likes to spar with people and that aspect of his personality is also recorded in scripture.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

This is like when Goku wished for the dragon to purify Buu and have him reborn as a good soul.
