Hey there everyone:

I'm new to Skylanders (just started this week!) and one of the things I got in the store when I started out was a starter pack for the iOS Battle Grounds game. This turned out to be a bit of a mistake, as the iOS games don't seem to be all that great, but, it came with a Double Trouble who has a series 1 pose, but counts as a series 2 character. I noticed this because when I was on eBay looking for new Skylanders, I saw that all the series 2 Double Troubles look totally different from mine! Mine looks like the series 1... except my Skylanders Giants game confirms it's a "series 2", and the bottom is orange. How weird. I read that you were supposed to get a different Double Trouble altogether with this Battlegrounds bundle: Royal Double Trouble. I wonder if maybe series 2 DT on a series 1 pose is actually rarer? Any thoughts?

It is meant to be called series 2 but for a stupid reason it has a Series 1 pose.

It's not odd, it's supposed to be like that. RDT is exlusive to Gamestop but is in the same bundle. A lot of people refer to that Double Trouble as Series 1.5 It is rarer than normal, but not worth much. RDT is worth more.

Okay thanks guys. In any case, unless he's worth a thousand bucks, I'm not looking to sell him anyway. I feel attached to him after getting him to level 10 with 16 heroics under his belt.

Ua you got the series 1.5 version of him. Gamestop got the same thing but he's color purple and called royal double trouble.

Yes, but he is still worth more than normal 1.5

They both do. the difference is gamestop got a royal colored one that is also an in game variant, other stores that got the ios set got a series 2 version that was in his series 1 pose and colored the same.

I too have that battlegrounds Double Trouble.

Mine is the same as yours, it's normal for the non Gamestop versions of the pack.

I too regret spending my money on it, the game was not all that good. In fact I think it should be a free download as there is so much in app purchase pushing afterwards even when you spent how much on the portal starter pack for it!

Worst Value Skylanders game in existence to be honest.

At least in my case I actually did not have any of the characters that came with the battlegrounds pack, if that's any consolation to myself... Well I don't know. I do log in to the Lost Islands game, but I refuse to spend money on the mobile games. I put my Skylanders in it and play for like 5 minutes per day...

It's one of the reasons why I haven't bulked up on Royal Double Trouble. There's limits to my wanton spending...
