I'm having trouble the last few days with activate, it says "offline as......" And keeps flashing that for a while. When you click activate icon it says cannot establish a connection to server. Was wondering if anyone else was having problems too.

I've been running into this issue more frequently. I've been fixing it by going into the settings on my iPad and toggling the Airplane mode. For me the issues have been tied to a larger problems with Apple's wireless implementation.

I run into this occasionally too. Hadn't tried airplane mode toggle, but for me force closing the game and restarting fixes this.

Same here, has been a frequent occurrence in the last month. I have to force close game but sometimes I end up losing progress and gems.

Yep, I've used both method and most of the time I'm successful (a few times the airplane mode toggle did not work)

I've had this problem too. It'd be nice if they added a save to device button like the save to cloud button so when activate is being wonky I don't have to worry about closing my app. I know it autosaves, but I don't know when and I HAVE lost progress that way before. Never more than a few minutes, but it's still a pain.

This trick is to be proactive about this. Whenever you do not use the app for a long time (I don't really know what a long time is...) such as sleeping overnight, do a hard close of the app and then when you open it again, it refreshes the activate connection and you have no issues.

If you throw a wish stone it says "saving" whether you are connected to activate or not. If it were me, I would throw one to save it anytime I was worried about losing progress.

I believe that when you hit the Activate button at the top of the screen, it also forces a local save, even if it can't save to Activate.
