I realize there have been many topics like this, but here's my idea of the DotD ending.

You reach the heart of Malefor's lair where a portal to his prison lies open. Spyro and Cynder near it and as they reach the edge, a roar issues from within and rubbel falls from the ceiling blocking the entrance. The floor gives way and Cynder is pulled in. They scream to eachother and as she vanishes from sight, Malefor rears his ugly head. Spyro demands Cynder is returned, Malefor laughs and taunts him, and they battle on the ground.

The first part ends and Malefor returns to convexity followed by Spyro. They switch places in flight frequently, spitting elemental attacks at eachother all the time. Then Spyro nears Malefor and they fight with aireal meele attacks. Part 2 of the battle ends when they reach a floating rock similar to the one seen in ANB. Malefor blasts Spyro with a beam that saps his energy, and begins to slowly kill Spyro by ripping his wings. Then Ignitus swoops in and saves Spyro, but suffers a terrible injury at Malefors hands, which nearly kills him. With his last breath Ignitus surrenders his remaining life and energy to Spyro, killing himself.

Spyro loses his temper, becoming a more feral, animalistic version of Dark Spyro, and lunges at Malefor who dissappears. In his place, Cynder appears in her former monstrous form, but darker and more powerful. She and Spyro battle once more, on land and in air, similar to the earlier fight with Malefor. She is defeated, but mortally wounded. Realising what he's done, Spyro returns to his normal self, and screams for Malefor to return and fight.

He does, but before the fight resumes, Spyro is overwhelmed by his past. His mind is flooded with thoughts of all Ignitus has done for him, everything he and Cynder had been through, and the one thing he could do to repay them: Destroy Malefor. Spyro gathers all the good inside him and becomes Light Spyro. After another tumultuous battle, Malefor falls, never to rise again. Spyro returns to Cynder's side to find that she has perished. With his Best friend and father deceased, he sees nothing to live for.

Spyro performs a final fury which causes Convexity to implode. Welcoming death, Spyro makes no attempt to escape, and dies in the end. ...Or does he?...

I've heard a variation on thing... but it's better and doesn't involve the MASSIVE cliché of Cynder getting killed off. >.>

Whwere did you hear it HIR? Do you have a link? Aslo, this is just a fan based stroy adnchanges can be made. If anyone has suggestions they can tell me, or post their own ending. Also, I might continue from that ending. P.S. Spyro lives! Remember I said Or does he?
