When ever I try to get an avater from an image I find it says-

Error: The type of file uploaded isn't allowed. The image types supported are gif, jpeg and png


The image I want to use is a gif, see- Code:
http://www.anime.stargates.ch/sprites/tiere/dragon247.gif

Its also the right size, so dose anyone know whats happening?
and it does work as an image-

Have you tried downloading it to your computer and uploading from there?

Save the picture.

Change the filetype to .png

Upload the image

Paste the IMG code in the bar on your profile that says: "Upload New Avatar from URL"

Try the 'Upload New Avatar from URL' method again, but instead use this link:
