I'm talking about the website as I know the shops are good. Does anyone have any previous experience with ordering used Skylanders from them? If so how was the service and were they in good condition as there are no pictures on their website?
This is aimed at UK users so can anyone tell me their previous experiences? Thanks

I would rather hack off my legs with a blunt spoon than support CeX.
Over the course of many years I have bought about 4 products from them, each time only after enough years to forget the disaster that was the least purchase. In each case it was broken/faulty/crap. They mislabel faulty goods as working, sell "good" condition things that are awful and ALWAYS overprice them. If you have ever had the misfortune to SELL something in there I pity you. I took my working phone for them to sell, they "tested" it for 24 hours then refused to buy it because it was broken!!!! So the ****ers broke my phone then wouldn't give me any money for it. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE. |

Hmm ok. Pretty negative feed back there Pyrofer, but good feedback nonetheless. Thanks for the advice
I have only bought 3 things from CeX stores and one was FFX for Ps2 that was scratched to hell and wouldn't run past the opening... I've never nor do I plan to sell things to CeX. I just wondered if they would be any good to buy Skylanders from as its pretty hard to purchase Skylanders that don't work.

Granted there is little that can go wrong with Skylanders, but I am sure they will find a way.
Over-pricing is my first guess. There are plenty of other places to get figures, play.com, zavvi.co.uk etc still have S1 figures new. Lots of small independent game stores do second hand figures too. You know what we need? A Skylanders convention. Stalls selling new figures, a trade/sell section, game demonstrations, custom figure displays/sales, cosplay... lol. Activision need to get on this now! |

I was thinking about buying from ceX too but all I could find was negative reviews so I decided to not buy fRom them as dome reviews said that they where sent wrong items and are still waiting for refunds months later

i ordered a whole ton of skylanders from CEX online as they sell them quite cheap in some instances, cheaper than ebay hunting anyway.
when they all arrived, they were all in pretty good condition. no obvious damage, just how id expect a pre owned skylander to look. not 100% brand new, but like id owned it for while. anyway one big complaint, i ordered red drill sergeant and gnarly tree rex. they sent me the regular versions of each instead. i did also order blue bash, and received blue bash. but still, paying £12 for gnarly tree rex and receiving a £4 tree rex ticked me off. i returned it, asked for a replacement of the right characters, but instead they gave me a refund, i asked why when their website claims to still have them in stock, and they just said refunds are issued when the required items cannot be sourced. completely ignoring the fact that i pointed out their website claims they are in stock... 80% good, 20% bad. i would order from again, but not as a first choice on variants.

So they lie about stock and send out incorrect items...
Anybody got anything nice to say about them? I can answer that. No. Nobody will because there IS NOTHING nice to say about them. |

They buy low and sell high.. For example ghost roaster buy £4 sell £28...... For games.. My kids ave bought ps2 games there and they have worked fine... I've always bought in store... Not online.

In store I have never had an issue with cex, apart from overpriced. I prefere to use game for pre owned skylanders. Haven't tried the website for either though.
I store they had ghost roaster for £28. I walked over to game and got roaster for £12.99 and dark light crypt for £12.99. Thought that was a bargain 0-0 |

I purchased DotD PS3 from them a few years back, no problem. But another time I ordered a figure from them for a great price, they sent me an email a few days later telling me they 'couldn't find my item' and refunded me. Strangely, others have had the same message whenever they mis-price an item.
