It seems that at NewEgg you can preorder all wave 1 stuff for Swap Force
But there is one thing - they sell it by boxes 12 items per box for core, 12 items per box for light core, 12 items per box for swap force. Battle packs are 6 per box. Adventure packs are 6 per box. And finally triple packs are 6 per box either
The only question is - what exactly are in the boxes?
Here you go.
It's slightly cheaper by ~ $1 per regular skylander but blind buy isn't for every one.
So I'm asking this again - what do we know about what coming in wave 1 taking into account that there are 12 items per box and 6 packs per box?

Interesting. If this is correct, Itsjustme's source was off about the contents of wave 1. Infact, I think it's cool Swaplanders are in assorted boxes of 12. Pretty spiffy.

Interesting find, Rom713.
So ... buying from this website (NewEgg), you would be buying a full "wave 1" brown cardboard box, just like the retailers receive them? I didn't know that was even possible. It's too bad this doesn't reveal which characters are in the box.

It seems unlikely that six different Swappable characters will be released in "Wave 1" in addition to the two that will be readily available in the console starter packs. That would make a total of 8, which is half of the 16 Swappable characters. It's possible, just seems unlikely. I suppose half of the Giants were available at launch for Giants (Tree Rex, Swarm, Crusher, Bouncer), so I suppose there is some precedent. We'll see!

If pattern follows we'll see,
8 Swappers 10 Newlanders 3 Lightcore 6 Reposes( May be more like 8 so we could have the 3 Tripple packs)

I got an answer from their customer service about these boxes: Quote:
So that basically confirms that they are selling these boxes as is - you will get exactly what Activision has packed inside them I might pull a trigger and preorder regular, light core and swap force boxes. I have the only one concern about swap force boxes. I don't need 3 of each swaplanders. But there is nothing known about Nitro Magna Charge and his/her double pack - how is it get shipped, is it just two separate figures (not likely) or they are packed together in something like triple/battle packs and thus they might be part of triple or battle packs boxes. |

I wonder if you have a better chance of getting the Chase Variants, or does New Egg go through the boxes before they ship it out (Like Game Stop does)?

I may true this. I like the idea of having official boxes for future storage of these in the future.

This may be the way to go for me, if the inventory counts matches what I need. Unfortunately we don't know what's in them.

I know what is in them! Skylanders! Anyways, if we found out what was in them and bought some stuff together could work out with not having to run all over the place..... |

Eh, wise guy! Nyuk nyuk nyuk.
That would be nice, but then there's the whole shipping thing, the whole communication thing etc. Too much work

I'll just buy normally. If the 12-Swappers box had 12 unique swappers, it'd be an instant buy for me. otherwise, nope.

Back in the day Newegg was just a computer hardware retail outlet. Much like Tigerdirect. Who would have thought they would sell Skylanders. I suppose there is a chance you could get chase variants this way. You could wait until the contents are revealed or pre-order and be done with wave 1. LOL
