Me too.All my favorite avatars are too big in file size.

Maybe, but I think it's fine. Bu if I had to choose, I would 125x125.

All my favorite avies I found won't work, due to it being 22 kbs or something like that. I say we make it 25

Save it as a JPEG and lower down the quality a bit. It'll work.

Right click the image and save it as a JPEG.

Then open it in PhotoShop and save it as a JPEG, it'll ask you what quality you'd like. I suggest seven. *Note, not sure if this works in MSPaint.*
The size should be the same and the file size should be a lot smaller.

I use GIMP to convert them to GIF to cut down file size.

INFIDEL is right... If you are on a Dial Up, larger file sizes will bog down the internet.

Then again, who uses Dialup?

Save them as GIF. My avatar which you see now, was 30kb as a JPG. As a GIF, it then became 7kb.

So, if you want to get a smaller avatar, upload it on the net and then send it to me.

It's not crap mate. Just see my avatar I use now, saved as a GIF, and of very high quality and compression. Either that, or just send your original avatars to me and i'll get the job done. smilie

PNG is perfectly fine in MS Paint, unless you want a transparent background. =/

Lol. GIF is good for avatars and JPG is good for large images. I just did a background compression for CloudTail4Ever. It used to be 257kb, not it's 88kb. smilie
And if you have any requests for smaller avatar sizes, just leave a message for me on my profile or PM or something....

Actually, slightly bigger avatar sizes/dimensions, is bad. Cause then, the forum would stretch to compensate for the space.
