How many people here collect figures for their relatives to play them? I mean, like during family reunions and the such, when you bring your game system. Do you buy the figures for other relatives to play with for fun, to save them all the work of buying them themselves? Please, post your answers.

no i dont buy any figures for them. they play with what i got and if that aint good enough they can go out and buy the one they want themselves.

That is actually what I meant, kappapopm, with me buying figures, then having my relatives play with those.

after i read the above convo 3 times i understand what you mean. aside from the ''gotta buy 'em all'' (except anything not in game variants, like gold, fuzzies gitd, etc.) fever i have, i collect them for my son because we play together. it's one of the biggest reasons i started playing & collecting skylanders again. i also give any extras to his dad so he has skylanders at both houses.

I buy one for my family and my brother since my son got him hooked like me and his mom. My sister collects a few but doesnt play (her first ame was spyro on the ps1)

For family reunions, I bring most of my figures, mostly just figures for that game, and I let them choose what they want to play as. They don't take them home or anything, they just have a chance to play with my own collection. The only time I really give away figures is when I get ones for free, like I will with the Lightcore Hex. I make them prizes for my card game tournaments, and they enjoy it. I mainly collect figures because I want a complete collection, and I want other people to use them.

I bought a few for my nephews for birthdays/holidays, but otherwise I have my own collection that sits on a table.

i often give doubles away to friends, and sometimes i buy skylanders for friends

in fact , i have bought 6 fright riders, ugh

No, I buy them for the two of us and my relatives can play what I got. Though gifts are another story, because they are gifts.

The only family member I've played with is my youngest bro once or twice, and he's not really into it that much, lol
