So, just thinking---when we placed lightcore skylanders on the portal we never got a series notation in the screen. Like we did with the series 2 version of the character.

This got me thinking....does that mean that there will only be one lightcore of a given character across the entire series? Makes sense this would be the case....this also makes sense since none of the lightcores have wow pows...which more or less indicate that all lightcores are considered "series 1" in terms of features.

Do we have any information / data from TFB/Activision to contradict or corroborate what I'm saying?

I think certain characters will only have Series 1 versions. I don't see there being Series 2 versions of previous Alter Egos and Legendaries. I think it would be cool if Lightcores and Giants didn't get them as well.

This leaves potential for every character to have a LightCore counterpart. No worries of there being multiple LightCores of a character in different series. Cool.

I now have the desire to pick up LightCores of my favs, if/when they come out.

So Hex, Star Strike, Drobot, Chill, and Grim Creeper are known to have or be getting LightCores. Looks like it's time to go back to hunting.

On the 3DS game, the returning LightCores show up as 'Series 1 LightCore' and the new characters are just 'LightCore'
