In adventure mode, I can't complete the great maze. A purple arrow prompts me to go in a door. I go in. Nothing in there except the door I came from. In the background are figures of several characters. What do I do to beat the level?

All the figures are trophies of the characters you still need to beat. Doors with ominous black smoke are the ones you have to enter to battle a boss or a character. If you beat all bosses and characters you can enter the door where all he figures block your way.

Press + to open the map and all the doors are labeled as green dots. Go to all the green dots that don't have lines connecting them. Use checkpojnt to get to areas quicker by using the teleport things.

And if you are far enough,symbols will appear that look like a monster,those are bosses and characters not beaten.

I beat all o them except 10-11 of them. They're not anywhere, just floating in space, not the places.

This is because you havnet been to the areas there in. Once again go to all the green dots that don't have lines connecting them to another.

Should also be noted that if you enter Tabuu's chamber from both sides, little monster faces are added to the map. They show the exact locations of the remaining bosses/shadow characters, even if you have not yet visited those areas.
