Pansexual actually means that you're attracted to someone, no matter their sexuality. Like if you found out their gay/lesbian or trans-gender you'd still be attracted to them. At least that's my understanding.

Pan-demisexual

The pan in this context of my sexuality refers to emotional attraction, often referred to as "romantic". When it comes to being attracted to someone emotionally, gender has no factor or little factor. So, you could say I am a "panromantic demisexual"...

With my demisexuality, which is in the ace (asexual) spectrum, the "romantic" identifier also determines what I could be sexually attracted to, and thus I do not put "panromantic", but just a pan prefix, as just "romantic" is hardly accurate enough for my preference.

Demisexuality, in context of my sexuality, refers to the sexual or physical attraction to someone after I have made an emotional connection. For whatever reason, I do not become sexually or physically attracted to people when I have no idea who they are, how they are, or what their personality is.

By the meanings of "pan" and "demi", I am a "all-halfsexual"...which sounds interesting... but hardly accurate or true to the definition of my sexuality, which can be different for other demisexuals.

If I want to strip my sexuality to its bare minimum, I would refer to myself as "pansexual", asexuality could be applicable but barely even true (and misleading). Earlier years of my life, around when I hit puberty, I flipped through identifying as "bisexual", "panromantic pansexual", "asexual", "panromantic asexual", and I was rather confused because I didn't really know a word for my sexuality, as it didn't really fit completely into any of those definitions.

I accept how I am, but would I change how I am if I could? I would prefer to be panromantic asexual - but I'm definitely not that much of an asexual, and I really tried to "force" myself into that, which was very futile...

I just like to add layers of semantics to my sexuality, not everyone wants to label themselves so speciffically as me when it comes to sexuality (then again, I could add something else but I'm still somewhat uncertain since I haven't tried it yet).... not so much my gender.

I agree, and have made the point before, that you should only go around labelling yourself as something when you are confidant enough in it. You can, possibly, be emotionally attracted to certain people before puberty, sure, but sexual attraction is unlikely or manufactured as something you "want" to be, when it's before puberty...and sexuality isn't really in your control. "Practising" your sexuality is all up to you, though, as you may decide you don't like that you are attracted to a certain gender or genders or sexes...and there's many examples of that in the world.
