Am I the only one who finds the Ambushed insanely hard?? Every time I get into one at least 5 or 6 of my Skylanders gets killed or severely injured. It's not just on Nightmare mode either, I had one helluva time with them even on normal, so someone please tell me, what's the easiest way to defeat an ambush?

I play on the defensive wait for an opening don't just attack all of the time then it will be easier

Use their counter part, fight fire with fire.

Yeah, you have to play defensively until the first goes down. If possible use someone who can drop traps while they retreat (Zap, Voodood, Sprocket, Flame Slinger, etc).

you need to be fast

Side note, I really love the ambushes - they give my crew a chance to really strut their stuff.

the life ambush( stealth elf: play defensiv and wait till they stand still, attack and run away IN TIME so the second and third wont hit you, focuz on the second one and so on, dont attack head on, you will get an x-scizzor in you face...

the 1st fire ambush( sunburn: use long range skylanders and evoid his fire.....thats all

the water ambush( gill grunt: evoid the harpoons and use long range, or use drobot/triggerhappy/flameslinger(pyromancer)

the water and fire ambush(zap or eruptor) evoid there attacks, attack zap while sliding, and attack eruptor wen he erupts in lava

the undead one(chop chop: stay away and use long range, or skylanders who lay traps

the last ambush: flameslinger::: belive it or not, i just attack head on with bash!

Long range, spammable characters, items, and general caution are the keys to victory, especially on Nightmare mode. I had a period where I tried to match the ambush characters with my own, after running into Ambush Chop Chop, I quickly ditched this strategy.

As a minor digression, I think the Monster House music (from the Mystery Dungeon games) is downright fitting for those ambushes.
