Have they ever offered half price shrines?

They used to all the time. Haven't seen one in a while.

I got all mine at half price. 3fire,3magic,3undead,2earth,1air,1life& 1water. It's so hard to save the gems to buy them. I don't own any giant houses because I've bought them.

I don't think I have seen any since the introduction of the alter ego houses.

What they have been doing lately is offering a quest involving the alts that you must have the alt's house. The reward is a shrine. Firewooks Zook had one, so does Cupid Flameslinger.

So save for the alt house and you get a free shrine.

Just to be safe, dont buy the alt house until you see the quest.

Two or three weeks ago, they had shrines for 25% off. I think I got one or two at 225 gems.

When I started the game, I thought they were just signs you had too many gems. Now that wishstones are a more usable currency, shrines are better. You can keep throwing stones after you get the grand prize, and you can buy legend houses to help get gems.

At least until all of your legends have a house.
