Small glitch exploit I found. If you have two idevices, 1 is updated to newest version, the other is not.
Step 1:Cloud save on unupdated device, load that save on the updated device and get 20 gems.
Step 2:Cloud save on the updated device, load that save on unupdated device and repeat step 1.

I updated my ipad that I play at home, didnt update my iphone that I take to work.
Every day when I got home from work and loaded my save onto my ipad I kept getting 20 gems
