Are any of you doing a mega hunt on the release of SWAP force I am. I plan on hitting a GameStop, 2 targets, a TRU and a walmart

I plan on playing Pokemon X and Y that day. c:

I am I'm planning on getting a 100% Complete collection for Swap-Force so I will be doing a mega hunt. I'll be going to 2 TRU, 2 Walmart's, 2 GameStop's, 2 Target's, & 2 Best Buy so I'll be hitting 10 stores on day 1

Basic run through step by step of my day

1. Go to Gamestop with 3DS and pokemon X in hand
2. Pick up my pre ordered swap force along with some characters (depends who they have)
3. Go to target, walmart, TRU and the best buy near my TRU to find more figures I want
4. Go home and play it

(3DS will be used for the car trip)

3 Wal Marts, 2 Gamestops, 2 Targets, 1 TRUS, .........and a partridge in a pear tree.

I don't know if I've got it in me for another year of hunting these stupid things. Seriously. It's just too much time and WAY too much money for one game.

I plan on getting out early, just like the last two years, so I can get whatever store exclusive Target has, before going to TRU or Best Buy to get everything of wave 1 I need.

I had a detailed plan typed up on some other thread about this, trying to remember now lol..

1. Taking off work
2. Emptying trunk night before
3. Sleep semi early
4. Getting up at 6am, getting some dnd coffee and food. Not sure if wife/son are coming with me or shes going to take her own car.
5. 6:55 at walmart door 2nd closet to home.
6. Walking in buying anything I see that looks rare/variantish
7. Heading out to other walmart near my home doing the same as number 6.
8. Heading 15min away to next walmart doing same as number 6.
9. Next walmart 10min away same as number 6.
10. Going to target near that walmart, buying everything there as I like target better and I get a good discount (15%).
11 Depending if TRU is open heading into this one and getting Legendary stuff if any and my swap force wii u, 3ds and 360.
12. Another Target, followed by another target farthur down, followed by bayshore Toysrus.
At this point idk if I'm going farther out east, going home to sleep or heading westward.

It honestly depends whats out there on day 1 and if I want to look for swap forces granite/flocked/pearl etc.
At some point go home and sleep. Monday go to work and come home to play pokemon x/y, unless the kid forces me to play swap force all night lol.

Im doing a mega hunt with or without the little sister in tow haha. I'll be sitting out front of my local TRU from 3am until it opens at 9, as I will be hitting 3 different Walmarts in 2 states around midnight. After the Walmart runs are through, I will be found playing Pokemon Y (as my fiance has taken claim to X) in front of TRU where I will pick up whatever I didn't pick up at the Walmarts (I will more than likely have a checklist of some sort to avoid duplicates) and I haven't confirmed it yet with my fiance but I may send him over to Target which is right down the street to pick up any exclusive they have there on day one... If he doesn't make the run for me, we will go to Target after TRU, followed by Best Buy down the road still, then loop back and hit the mall's GameStop.

Here is my question---are there going to be so few out that I need to go before the store opens and there will be a line? I just don't remember that being the case on giants release----please let me know so my kiddo doesn't miss out.

Depends on where you live.
For me, I visited 2 Walmarts, 2 Game Stop, Target, TRU, Best Buy and Kmart, there where a few buyers out but one family I saw every stop we made. There was plenty of characters to go around. TRU had Wave 2 release the very next day, There was less than 6 each and I was there when they opened, along with the other family that we kept running into the day before. Just do your homework the week prior to get the best deal to determine where the In-game variants will be and any sales. For instants: TRU was having a buy one get one 40% off on D-Day. I ended up taking the Target figures back (I bought them there first) and got a refund. Walmart had the GITD Starter, Game Stop had the Gold Cannon, Target had Granite Crusher. I hope that helps you.

I don't think so shelly, I think they're going to be everywhere. With Infinity coming out too, they can't afford to have a shortage pushing would be customers to the competing product.

Snag a few Swaps, the Battle Pack and Adventure Pack, whatever variants I can find, LightCore Warnado, Newlanders, and some S2/3s

Foes anyone know if there is a day off of school on the 14th of October? I would want to buy all of the figures I can that day, or I can ask my dad instead if I can't.

It's a Sunday in the US so I'm waking up bright and early to go do my hunting I plan on buying all wave 1 swappers and core landers maybe the adventure or battle pack I just don't like Popthorn/Gasteroid(bumble blast just seems a bit cooler) I have about 700 dollars I plan to spend 200 or 300 depending on how much there are

It comes out ln the 13th which is a Sunday over here in the us

Yeah, I would like to buy it the day after for reasons. Anyway, do you know if there is indeed a day off on Columbus Day?

I now have confirmed with my parents that I'm a doing a mega hunt on day 1 even if I have school the next day WHIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!

Depends on your school, at mine there isn't.

Well I have to wait till Christmas so.....But I still will get my free LC Hex and if I am lucky the game since I am getting Pokemon Y and I said I would wait till Christmas for SWAP Force.

So--for you who have figured this all out --question for you
If we were to bu y 2c wii u starter and 2x 3ds starter and 2x every pack sold for first wave---how much $$ will be needed?

Well for the starter packs alone it will cost u 299 dollars and 96 cents 74.99 for each starter pack even the 3ds. For figs I think they will have like 5 cores and 4 swappers will give u a total of like 410 dollars I don't know about the s2 and s3 but that is the starters and 5 cores and 4 swappers

I'd say under a 1000. Depends how many of each you get.

How about this---do people know what figures in what configurations are being released day 1? Thats not released info yet right? Other than the figures starters---?

I asked the same questions Shelly. I was told that we wouldnt have that information until we got closer to release date, but even then we probably won't know 100% what all is going to be in Wave 1.

Thanks ---I guess I was just wanting to "plan" for all this expense --pokemon y or z or whatever my son wanted preordered--Disney--swap force--wow!

My plan is to have at least 500 bucks on me for the first day at the very least just to make sure I can get one of everything as thats all I want. My sister and I share a collection but she gets any duplicates that I happen to get from single packs or any that she thinks are really cute. I came up with that number just by adding estimated costs for all the figures, so having 500 should be more than enough as my estimated overall cost was in the $700 area, and I know they arent going to release everything all at once..

If you're only buying one of everything, not including any variants, you get the approx. $700 figure. This does not take into consideration any double/triple packs, BOGO deals, or coupons. Counting variants or multiple starter packs you may buy for different consoles, I'd say the $1k figure is pretty accurate.

I am gonna stay up all night reading the guide (after I finish the game once of course, in X) and then read the guide, go find some cool pokemon, then play Y! I am also isolating myself from Serebii, Pokejungle, Pokebeach, Pokememes, and the pokemon topics here so that I don't get last minute spoilers :]

I only buy Newlanders and Swappers I would only buy a repose if it is of a fig I don't have or I like the Wow Pow. I want to hear some wave 1 predictions

Im going to get out to a walmart or target at midnight on launch and buy as much as I can. Then in the morning I will go to toys r us and a lot of other stores.
