Pretty much all of the games except Fusion, Shadow Legacy and Enter the Dragonfly are fine by my standards. Also, add the mobile games to the above list. >.>

Favorite Spyro game?

Definitely the seventh game (Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night).

Challenging, action-packed, nice story, good graphics, good music, good atmosphere. Mostly, I like the gameplay and challenge ; the platforming bits are challenging and the foes aren't quite the pushovers that you get in the other games (except maybe ANB and some bosses in the other games). It IS a bit short and still feature the unlimited lives gimmick, which I really don't like but as far as Spyro games go, this is the one I like best... so far.

A Hero's Tail... It's no big mystery that the story is bad and that the characters are mostly bad due to either rock-bottom personalities and/or lack of character development (the worst offenders being the two other young dragons, Ember and Flame. They get, what, two, three lines at most?). Still, despite the near non-existent story, the game is a solid platformer that, much unlike the other Spyro games, focus on pure gameplay rather than being a collect-a-thon... a refreshing change to be sure. Was the first Spyro game in the main serie to include the unlimited lives feature, which I hate (I'm an old-school gamer who actually enjoy a challenge and well, I like when the game pressure you to succeed ; what's the point in trying to survive when there is no penalty for dying?)... but oh well.

That was my top two.

(Oh and by the way... Enter the Dragonfly and Shadow Legacy are glitchy messes. Spyro Fusion is not something everyone might like either and is relatively shallow unfortunately as well.)

(Oh and... a honorable mention to Year of the Dragon, the best collect-a-thon style Spyro game. I don't really like it but well, can't deny it that despite being a collect-a-thon, what it does, it does well.)

Hmmm.... I changed my mind! I like TEN best. Although it was kind of hard. But not hard to the point where it's unplayable!
