All Skylanders work with ALL systems.

EVERYONE knows that, im asking because i know certain Japan or Europe for that matter video games will NOT play on our UNITED STATES systems....

So, in-game, will Ghost Roaster show up in English, or with the Japanese letters? Is the coding for that in the figure, or in the country's game disk that is being used? Anyone receive a Japanese figure yet to test it out?

I'm not buying them, but I've got an inquiring mind that wants to know.

OH MY GOD I'm getting sick of seeing and answering the same question over and over on thread after thread!!!!!!!

NO, nothing will be Japanese in the game. NOTHING! The only Japanese is on the physical stuff, the packaging and the card and sticker and all that. Electronically, NOTHING is stored on the figures except bare bones ID numbers, any nickname, and maybe figures. It reads that Ghost Roaster is figure #123, then the game looks up 123 in its databases, figures out "Oh, that's Ghost Roaster" and draws Ghost Roaster. Then it checks what location you have set on your console, cross-references that with Ghost Roaster to call up Ghost Roaster's English sound clips and writes "Ghost Roaster" in English.

Same with what upgrades you have, same with stat boosts, same with hats. The only thing I'm unsure of is if the BASE stats are in the game or on the figure. I'm sure stat boosts from Heroic Challenges aren't, it just stores "Ghost Roaster completed Mission Achomplished" and the game decides how much that accomplishment is worth (many Heroic Challenges are worth different amounts in SSA and Giants)

Coding is on your cd. The figure just tells the game what figure is on the portal. the figure is universal. It's why ppl here ordered german, AU and Italian versions of scarlet, lc pop fizz, lc chill, lc hex, and polar whirlwind.

If an american went to japan with their ssa spyro and put it on a Japanese portal it would load. the problem next is can you read Japanese?
