Hi,

I'm always interested on looking for ways to upgrade skills for my skylanders. Does anyone know the effective way to get gold to upgrade skylanders skills?

I'm only doing it old fashioned way at the moment and desperate to max all my skylanders skills

Please share if u guys have any thoughts..

.........i'd suggest you go to chapter 16 and collect gold
or put the weals of wealth in the luck o tron
or.......

there are soooooooooooooo many ways of upgrading and getting gold

maybe get the threser chest anfd find it

how about the treasure chest from pirate sees?

anyways, the crane deck cheat or something like that, people say it works, but i myself dont cheat

a special place or something on flynns ship, i only come there once , just for the 315 gold, but thats all

When you're on the ship, on the right you can go up the stairs to talk to Brock. Next to him is a door to enter the tower. In the main tower, you can go through the door in the back to get to Auric's shop, the Vault and Dreadbeard to play him at Skystones. In the main tower, you can instead go up the ramp to enter a door above the Vault's room, this is the Crane Deck (you can also go higher to another room, there's a Winged Sapphire here at one point). After I think Chapter 14 there's a Winged Sapphire on the Crane Deck (in case you want to use the cheat/glitch, take it before finishing Chapter 16). There's always a little money here, but ONE TIME, after you finish Chapter 16, there's about 7,000 here, 9,000 I think if you have the Wealth Wheels on. The glitch is a way to make it always be there.

Without the cheat, Chapters 14 to 16 all have a lot of money, and the Vault is good for a lot, nearly 2,000 every time I try I think.

In Giants, the Hidden Dragon Treasure Chest doesn't give much, only 200 or 300 or so, I think. BECAUSE in SSA there was a limit of 4 in every level (you have to restart the level), but in Giants there's no limit (my first ever post on Dark Spyro was the only thread I started, asking this, LOL!)

(And this thread is still strong in Life/Elf/Stealth Elf, LOL!)

I have been doing with the treasure chest. I think i will try the chapter 16 when i got a chance see which one is faster

I don't expect to cheat it's just sometimes getting gold is really looooooong hahaha...

s2's can go to ssa and go to lair of kaos, i know theres alot of money too!

Use the elemental gate in the game room over and over again.

I have used Chapter 4 and the treasure chest item. There is a good chance the chest spawns right at the start of the level (go down). I open it and level select the same chapter so it loads again. If the chest is not showing there then exit the game and reload. Once it spawns at the start of the level you should be good.

Hidden Treasure+Lost city of Arkus (but only up to the Pit Puzzler, once you beat that extremely unchallenging puzzle and get like 300, reset the level and come back again).

Will try these methods as well and see which one is more appealing ..

Use the crane deck method

The only thing is that the Hidden Dragon Treasure Chest only gives a few hundred, doing ANY level gives you more, opening the vault is likely to be faster AND gives more. I usually do Chapter 15 for the Experience and the money, there are several piles scattered around if I go everywhere.

The "elemental gate in the game room" is widely referred to as The Vault, because they look like vault doors, and we already mentioned that.

Here are the steps, that will land you around 6-8k+ per every time you do this. It also helps to have all of your Luck-O-Tron wheels set to Wealth.

Steps -

1: Beat the game

2: Once back at the ship, go into the door that leads to Auric's shop, but don't go into the door directly infront of you, when inside. Instead, go up the first spiral ramp and go out the door right after.

3: You will be in a part of the ship that has lots of money. There may be a Winged Sapphire there as well. Then again, maybe the Winged Sapphire shows up before all of the loot shows up as a result of beating the game. If it does, get it before you beat the game.

4: On this deck, there will be around 6-8k worth of gems. Grab them and do a hard reset of the system. On PS3, press the PS button and select quit game, on the 360 press the guide button and exit to dashboard.

5: Reload the game and that 6-8k (maybe more with 4 Wealth wheels attached to the Luck-O-Tron) will still be there.

Repeat these steps until you can max out every character.

REMEMBER, if the Winged Sapphire is there at the end of the game, DO NOT TOUCH THE SAPPHIRE, or it will trigger the auto-save and the money will be lost.

It's best to make a backup of your save file, incase you accidentally touch the Winged Sapphie. However, it may show up earlier, where you can grab it before beating the game.

It's 6-14 K.

Note to the crane deck method mentioned in detail above
1. Don't leave the room after taking all of it just hardboot out
2. Grab the winged sapphire after completing level 15. Don't go to level 16 before grabbing it

No chapter 15 I tested it while going through the story line in nightmare difficuly

I do Brock' s arena to earn money.

I play Skystones. It's easy and fast and you might even get a skystone you don't have if you're lucky.

The problem with the Arena is that the highest is I think 1,200. You get more in the vault, and faster. And the 1,200 challenge is a pain, we tend to do the 1,100 one.

The problem with Skystones is that ANYBODY you play, anywhere, gives you a few hundred at most. Again, the Vault gives more, faster. Well, about as fast.

A (subtle) part of this question is what is the FASTEST way.

Keep doing to ice thing arena from brock

I just go up to the crane deck and collect 7,000-9,000 every time. It beats playing skystones for 75 coins.
