Hi All. I made the trip down to Buffalo yesterday and picked up 4 packs of the Giants branded Frito-Lay chips at Wal-Mart. I also grabbed a pre-paid US credit card just in case. Does anyone have a plan (apart from being lucky enough to have a friend that lives in the States) on how to actually get the new Sidekicks shipped to them here in Canada? There is also some mention of shipping companies that will provide you with a US address for this purpose and then ship to you once it gets to them. I would be truly grateful for some details. TIA!!!!!

I don't know if they'll shipped it to Canada, they'll know that you have a Canada address. It's better if you know anyone from U.S and have them shipped there.

Gahhh is it that hard to ship sidekicks to canada? I understand for other countries, but its not like you gotta travel around the world!

Wise move on the prepaid card. They don't accept non-US Paypal accounts and won't take credit cards issued by non-US banks if you try without an account. Despite that, mine are ordered. I maintain a US P.O. Box for exactly this sort of thing.

If anyone wants to send some codes my way I'll help hook you Canadians.

Graz: Not to rain on anybody's parade, but I BELIEVE I understand that only ONE of each Giantkick can go to each address. Probably to stop scalpers and resellers. So a Minijini (for example) which you order for one of us poor Canadians means that you yourself can't get Minijini.

What we really need is an American address where NOBODY is interested in Skylanders, or at least the Sidekicks.

And I thought the racist/exclusionism was only on the shipping address, didn't think they'd go so far as to limit Canadian PayPals or Credit Cards.... Is this confirmed, or suspected?

Very confirmed. It will not take non-US Paypal accounts. If not using an existing account it will do a full address check against the credit card so most Canadian cards will fail at that point. If you have a Canadian issued card that accepts the US billing address (which I do) it will give a different error and simply say you can not use that card to pay.

I understand this. I have a work address that I could send 4 figures to, if a Canadian fan wants help.

Based on my experience, it seems it is related to the phone number and/or email address rather than the actual mailing address. I had issues with one code so I've poked at the system more than most. My failed code was replaced but I was warned the replacement code would tell me I had already ordered that figure. i was told it would be fixed by today. It was not. I just switched to my wife's email and my cell number and it worked fine with the same shipping address.
