Jeremy Johnson's Seven Commandments of Science:
1. Question everything. When you stop asking questions, you stop getting answers.
2. If nobody knows, then dive in yourself. No explanation means an invitation for exploration.
3. Don't ever rely on common sense. Remember, it was once "common sense" that the Earth was flat.
4. Keep an open mind. Be confident, but not too confident.
5. Don't be afraid of criticism. Know your mistakes so you can know how to fix them.
6. Don't ever let your personal beliefs and emotions, nor that of others, interfere with your work.
7. Never, NEVER call yourself or your work, nor anyone else a "failure". In the world of science, here is no such thing as a failure.

No, Jeremy Johnson is, believe it or not, my actual name. And yes, I get a lot of Phineas and Ferb jokes. |
