What about locked topics? Like only allow certain users to post in your topic.

This was discussed and everyone thought it was a bad idea.

This is what PMs and Guestbooks are for. If you want a group chat you could always try IMs.
Problem with having private topics is that people could talk bad about each other behind their backs. Also, the power would be abused. Imagine people blocking other people just because they hate them and leaving them out of a topic that may be fun. Put yourself in their shoes.

Usually because things that were needed were already asked for in the past and accepted. Now things aren't really accepted because they're not needed. Believe me, many people have suggested this way before you(As you saw in my post). The suggestion that are left are not really necessary or appropriate. Every othe good suggestion was taken and accepted in the past. All that's left is suggestions that aren't really needed or appropriate.
