I didn't want to say "obsession" as it's a bit strong a word.

But are there any games or game franchises you are currently spending a lot of time with, or can see yourself being invested in within the near future?

I've been getting hooked on the Ace Attorney games lately, mainly because the upcoming Professor Layton VS Phoenix Wright inspired me to do so. I wanted to be brought up to speed before I play the crossover. I am at the start of the fourth episode in "Justice For All". It's a brilliant series so far, though I don't like the second game as much. The first game had me constantly gripped, while the second game does get boring sometimes. It sort of feels like filler. The second game is still fantastic in it's own right though.

I also started playing F-Zero GX and Megaman X: Command Mission. I've enjoyed them so far too. F-Zero GX is crazy fun.
I also played through the Deadpool game recently. I had a hell of a time with that one. Shame that there isn't really much worth doing after finishing the campaign. It's a hilarious game, without a doubt, but the combat is also really fun and satisfying.

I've recently discovered the Metroid series, and I must say I've enjoyed one of the two games in the series I tried (Super Metroid) a lot, so much that with a larger world and more post-game content it could seriously compete with modern games. However, Metroid II: Return of Samus seems nowhere near as fun, though this is probably because aside from the open world, Samus's powers and the exploration of caverns, the gameplay seems to have little in common with Super Metroid. Still, if Metroid Prime Trilogy was released again, either of the first two in the trilogy showed up on the virtual console or they released a new 2D game and possibly a new Prime, I might get them.

I can't stop playing it. I've played about 60+ hours of it so far. I don't know what's going on with me. Definitely a game I won't get bored of any time soon. It's become an instant favorite for me.

Also hooked on Phantasy Star Online 2. Then again I kinda have been since it came out (in Japan...). It's a really fun game, but I just wish the English version would get here faster (I know there is an English patch for the Japanese version, but eh).

And for franchises in general, Sword of the Stars and Metroid are on that list. I just love them to death. For Sword of the Stars, the Complete Collection of the first game is among my favorite games ever, the sequel is really good from what I've played of it, aside from some odd things here and there, and The Pit is a pretty fun rogue-like (I need to get the Mind Games expansion soon).

Now, Metroid... I haven't played every game yet, but holy scrap this series is amazing. I don't think I've been this hooked on a series since MegaMan. I was really hoping a new game would've been announced at E3, but alas, it was not to be. Really, I can't even begin to describe this series without coming across as the crazy fangirl I am.

Probably others, but eh.

Super Ghouls N' Ghosts is my secondary one. I've beat it once in a no-hit run. I love it.

Kingdom Hearts has stolen my life. I am very much ok with this though.

Warframe, when I get paid next I'm spending £19.99 worth of Platinum in Warframe.

I'm trying to breed a bunch of my ideal pokemon with the right natures and characteristics and everything. Right now I am trying my best to get a gible in black 2 because I never played the 4th gen games

So I spent the past two weeks locked in my room, basically doing nothing but playing the entire Ace Attorney franchise. I just finished Miles Edgeworth Investigations today.

Now what do I do with my life? ;_____;

Can't wait for Dual Destinies and the Professor Layton crossover.

Halo has been my addiction for years. I have a couple thousand dollars worth of halo mega bloks set up into a giant battle display that goes half way around my room with the ships and air attack vehicles even strung up so it looks like they are flying. Really unique

Also Borderlands if you couldnt tell by my avatar. I have 600+ hours logged in borderlands 2 and have bought every bit of dlc even the ingame costumes. recently i have gotten the new loot chest they released as well and plan on getting a "butt stallion" t shirt soon (ingame joke)
