They can, but you need to place them in a separate bag when you go through security.

They can, my cousin and her family moving away to Italy this July and her mom said she has to unbox all her skylanders so it would fit all in the laggage including Darklight Crypt, single pack boomer, granite crusher and other hard to get skylanders lol.

What do you mean?

I know there is security. Haven't flown in 10 years.

YES, I have had a handful of them in a ziploc in my carry-on purse a number of times while flying and it was never even mentioned! They went through the security scanner without a single problem (those scanners will wipe out/erase film content, but are totally fine with the RFID chips in skylander figures)!! Happy travels!! smilie

I think it is lame that you have to open them out of the package.

Of course you can! It might be better for packing reasons if you put that inside of another bag, like a backpack or duffel... I travel a lot so there have been enough times I've brought my fav 'landers and DS along with me!! lol smilie I'm actually flying out next weekend to visit home for a week and might bring a few with me to play with my lil bro when I'm home!! smilie Have fun in FL!!!

With the size of my collection, I put them in a duffle bag and go with that lol, I'm flying again on Wednesday then going on a cruise (I don't want to go!) I wonder if I can bring them on the boat

I hid my Skylanders when I took them to me in Las Vegas under the drawer. My dad helped me lift it, and I hid them under there. Most hotels have a safe inside, make an easy code to remember, write it down, and just hide them in there. My parents put valuable stuff in there when we travel, such as jewelry.

I took some Skylanders in my regular carry on bag with no problems. Granted, I don't have the game at home so I have no idea if they still work, but I'm sure they do. If security didn't fry my AlphaSmart, iPhone, DS XL, or any other fiddly electronics, I'm sure they won't fry a Skylander. :)

you can. i was on vacation just last week and i got 3 skylanders for my b-day. i was planning on asking if it was going to be a problem, but i decided not to. they were fine. i didn't have to take them out of the box or put them somewhere else. your skylanders will be fine. enjoy your trip!
