Does anybody know if there will ever be any official Skylanders games apps for Android OS? I know there is Cloud Patrol (and it works 75% of the time on my Galaxy Note 2) and theres a few apps for Apple iOS. The Portal of Power that comes in the iOS Starter Pack is Bluetooth, so technically it would work on Android. I read somewhere that there will be Swap Force based apps for mobile devices, does that include Android or are they just talking about iOS?

Don't know, but I do think it's a bit unfair to go iOS only with the Skylanders Apps.

That said, most of them suck. I was very disappointed in Battlegrounds. After buying the full kit with portal it was still a pay-to-play freemium game!

I tried Cloud Patrol on my Amazon 8.9" Fire. It wouldn't recognize some of my Legendary figures. Called Activision and they admitted the problem but did nothing about it. The app finally just locked up so I uninstalled it. Talk about a disappointment. I won't be in a big hurry to try another app.

Amazon got ripped when they bought the exclusive for Android from Activision.

No because no one loves Android ;____;

I refused to buy Royal Double Trouble until Battlegrounds comes to Android like they said it would eventually. And I still don't intend to get it either, even by himself.

No Android. Here's some stats that frightens developers:

1. iOS users are overwhelmingly on the latest version of iOS (90%+)
2. Android users are fragmented over 3-4 releases with the most popular one being one that was released in 2010.

This means Activision has to deal with all of the differences were they attempting to make a game here. Keep in mind this is the same Activision that couldn't be bothered to put patches out on 3-4 systems that were capable of games receiving updated content for bugs and fixes.

Oh, and Android isn't close to iOS in market share.

Not gonna happen.

Again, nothing to do with tech...market share and fiscal responsibility...
