You're not alone. This scenario played out in dozens or hundreds of locations across the country today.

In GameStop's defense, their advertisement did state that Ninjini would only be available in select locations, but you had to read the extra super fine print at the bottom of the webpage ad to notice that.
Overall, the entire GameStop event today was a sham. I think it's really important that the Skylanders community boycotts GameStop for a while, at the least. GameStop corporate needs to know that we don't like being deceived or **** on.

I almost never shop there. I only went in today to get Polar Whirlwind. I live in Buffalo, NY and there was no sign of Scarlet either. Only the regular as well. I got screwed out of my Sidekick too. I sdid not know the details of the event, and I only went in to get PW, but others in front of me were told they had to buy a Giant to get the Sidekick rather than any Giants figure. Needless to say, I will be going back tomorrow to talk to the manager with my receipt.

All I really cared about was Polar. But you're right. When I went up today, nothing was out (then again I was there early after opening with only one employee there). The guy got Polar and regular Ninjini out from behind the counter. I didn't get a sidekick (though by the looks of it I just thought they didn't have any at all) or the poster (though that is my fault for not asking for it when I saw it). The only poster I care about regardless is the figure checklist that comes with the game (Console version's Poster, not 3DS version's Poster). Needless to say, I already have the SSA sidekicks and Scarlet so I was happy. Your points still carry however, so, I'm sorry to hear about your troubles.

I'm a little confused as to why so many people were under the impression that they'd have Scarlet Ninjini this morning. The ad said "Ninjini" but didn't say Scarlet. People who reposted the ad went ahead and added the word Scarlet, for some reason, I guess they were assuming Gamestop wouldn't bother advertising regular Ninjini and thought they'd fix it? I still have pictures of the ad on my phone. I've looked online to check too, half of the ads don't even mention Ninjini at all, and then the other one's I have found say "We will have a limited supply of the GameStop Exclusive Polar Whirlwind and Ninjini* Figures available for sale, plus a FREE Skylanders Sidekick with the purchase of any Skylanders Giants toy."

Unless the ad originally said Scarlet Ninjini and then they swapped it out. This morning at 4am PST (my time zone), 7AM EST, I looked on Gamestop's website and that is the exact message that was up, there was no Scarlet involved. The one thing I do know is that they really screwed everyone over by wording the free sidekick as a "Skylanders Giants toy" purchase. You'd think they'd want to get rid of their inventory, I know I'm sure sick of seeing 300 flashwings.

I went to GS last Tuesday looking to see if I could get PW early, and the clerk actually told me that they would have Scarlet on 6/22.

Agreed. This was the first time I have seen Ninjini in the wild at all.

Yeah, it did actually say "Scarlet Ninjini". Had the link saved to their webpage advertising it. Can Google something like Gamestop Event Scarlet Ninjini and see some sites for it. This is part of what Gamestop's site originally listed:

Guessing they made a mistake. There's a bunch of regular ones out there, if anyone needs them. Tons at Gamestop and even saw one at Toys R Us. I'm in South Philadelphia.

Anyways, the gamestop I went to did not know the difference between the two either. They called it scarlet and the old guy buying it for his grandson told him it was regular and the GS employee attempted to argue until I said that it was regular and that the box actually said Scarlet and she was red instead of blue.

They confused regular with Scarlet.

Since Scarlet is out of production, they replaced her with regular Ninjini and they confused all the employees.

My GameStop had her once back when she came out in mid may, I picked one up and I haven't seen her anywhere else ever since, I for one, loved the event at GameStop yesterday, I bought polar whirlwind and got a free whisper elf! Also got some swap force posters too.

Saw a bunch of Scarlets at Walmart on the 21st - anybody checking there?

My GS was giving sidekicks with any Giants toy purchase. The person in front of me walked with 5 sidekicks for 2 battle packs, Polar and 2 other singles. I only needed Polar so I got an extra Terrabite out of the deal.

I was actually needing a few Giants to round out my quantity, but the perceived change of the news literally soured me to spend any money outside of Polar (which I am indeed forced to do). They can shove those Battle Packs and Giants where the sun doesn't shine.

Oh I am. I was planning on getting ninjini regardless the type. But even some employees thought it was going to be scarlet as well. Oh well. Got polar whirlwind and the poster. Not a complete fail.

To be honest, the lady that gave me whisper elf didnt seem like she knew what she was doing or how to do the promotion right, whatever, I'm not arguing
