Hey guys just wondering if anyone here knows how to swap out series 2 drobots chip into LC drobot just incase I don't like s2 drobots pose.
Meaning I would have the LC drobot pose and light up effect while having s2 characteristics (ie. wow pow, switch paths)

It's simple if you have 2 S2s, but with LightCores, you have to rewire the lights to the chip.
Just heat up the Orange Bottom with a blow drier and pull. Don't touch the chip with your bare hands, use gloves or something to grab it with. Tell your parents you need help. I personally like S2 Drobot, so I wouldn't do this.

I have to see S2 Drobot's pose in person first before I decide. Just thinking it would be cool to have a S2 Drobot also light up!

Actually I was thinking about putting my LC Drobot chip in a pile of fake poo. How cool would THAT be?

RIP GhostRoaster. He's reanimated as TakeYourLemons but occasionally is resurrected from the beyond when needed. |

I reckon it'd be pretty cool IF you got it to light up too <.<

I really want to mod most of my landers to light up cool but don't have the guts to dismantle them!

This sounds cool. I won't do it of course, I'm not the modding type, but I'm still interested.

Ok, so 30 seconds later I have a "light up" mod ready to put in any Skylander. Surprisingly easy.
You just need a strip of wire wound round a few times and an LED from one of those cheap squeeze keyring lights. Connect wire loop to LED, put on portal, light up. Now to put it IN a skylander. |

Seriously, no pics needed! A wire, an LED.
About the only thing important is the length of wire. Between 35-45cm I think, varies depending on your LED. Wind up too much, then slowly lift the coils away from the portal bit by bit to see when it lights brightly. You can add a current limit resistor and small tuning capacitor but mine worked fine without them. |
