A steampunk roleplay.


It's the year 1872. The country of Erium is ruled by a truly beloved king and his beautiful, but hateful, wife, the queen. Together they ruled, one with compassion and the other with fear. Th king supports everything his wife decides, but lessens the cruelty of the orders. Due to the queens rule, the rich stays rich and get richer which the poor get poorer and poorer. Prices are rising and may people come in everyday on the airships believing the country to be great, like it is advertised as. With more people coming in food is becoming sparse, people are fighting to survive.


You are either a rebel, typically poor commoners, some ex-guards, some merchants, few clergy, and few scientists, anyone who is having trouble surviving(and knows about the rebellion). Or you are an elite , which consists of the merchants, military, aristocracy, scientists, clergy, anyone who has money. Or you could be neutral, there are no middle class, these people just aren't aware of the rebellion, and have no money. You are ether for the queen and king, mostly the queen, or against the queen and king, mainly ,again, the queen. The rebellion has some money, that they can steal. So they have weapons, the aristocracy does not.

~Places in Society~

Royalty- The king and queen. (CLOSED)
Aristocracy- People with a lot of money, live in high part of town, educated, get money from the queen and king, selected by the queen, human. (OPEN)
Clergy- Priests and priestesses, holy people, get money from Aristocrats, can be corrupt, can be poor, corrupt have more money, human. (OPEN)
Guards- Police of the country, enforce laws, collect taxes, law stuff, human or cyborg or automon(All clockwork insides with human skin). Can be corrupt, can be pure, corrupt earn more money. (OPEN)
Merchants- Sellers of goods, can have store, can travel, human. Can be corrupt, can be pure, corrupt earn more money. (OPEN)
Scientists- Make weapons, clockwork stuff, just about everything, human. Can be corrupt, can be pure, both paid the same. (OPEN)
Commoners- The poor folk. Can be human, half mermaids(can't live in water/eat human or fish) an array of creatures or cyborgs. Make up most of the rebellion. Will be thieves. (OPEN)

Name: Professor Venour Dutch Merrit
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Place in Society: Scientist, pure
Job: Mechanic. Messes around with lots of gimmicks and gadgets most of the time, but his true specialty is creating the clockwork soldier, equipped with a weak steampunk gun.
Appearance: Wears a bronze colored lab coat, and occasionally, when working with small gears and such, his own custom made clockwork monacle. He has short blonde hair, is not tan or pale, and is of an average height. very slim.
Personality: Not very social. If you talk to him while he is experimenting, you are likely to get only a few mumbles in reply. A calm person, and does not like to fight.
Other: Although very smart and young, professor Venour still has much to learn.

Name: Reverend Lazarus James
Age: 37
Gender: Male
Place in Society: Clergy
Job: Reverend
Appearance: tall about 6'0", a little bit of a build. Has dark brown hair combed back but even though he is only 37 he is starting to gray also a little bit of stubble. Wears a western style reverend outfit .Also has scholfield revolvers inside his trench coat.
Personality: kind, wise, understanding, unless you harm one of his flock then he brings the 'wrath of God' . Isn't afraid to spill blood if necessary, but prefers it as an alternative.
Other: is pure and in fact a member of the rebellion. Preaches mostly on kindness and such towards those who are not apart of the rebellion, but for those who are he preaches bravery and faith.

Name: Dr. Alicianne "Alice" Ann Wonderland
Age: 21
Gender: female
Place in Society: scientist, pure (however, others claim she is corrupt).
Job: Alicianne's primary studies are centered on the creation of life, furthermore on artificial life. She is driven to create the perfect artificial being. The creation of clockwork structures and weapon, however, are what concern her employers. To them, her "Dolls" are just an added bonus.

Personality: Alicianne seems rather dark, with a slightly demented sense of humor, and initially she comes off as quite intimidating. However, it seems to merely be an effect of the job, and she usually can integrate with normal conversation relatively smoothly. She seems to have something that constantly nagging at her, however she never seems willing to share.
Other: Alicianne has created several functional clockwork entities, however her favorite one is a clockwork "doll" named Lillie. The "Doll" tends to follow her around and carries out most instructions given to her by Alicianne. She stands on neutral ground, and doesn't state loyalty to either side.

Name: Lillie Mae Wonderland
Age: Apparently 10 years of age. (actually about 2).
Gender: apparently female
Place in Society: Scientist's assistant
Job: Lillie's "job" consists of running errands for Alicianne, to assisting her in various experiments, to something as simple as making tea. The "doll"'s only really job is doing whatever it is her "Mistress" needs at the time.

Personality: Lillie seems to be able to display and comprehend complex emotions. She can move every part of her face much as a human would to do so. However, she does get "confused" quite often at certain commands or questions. Overall, it's unknown whether she has a fully human level of thought, if any at all. For what personality she does display, it appears to be that of a ten year old girl. Complete with the ability to desire and comprehend that which someone at that age would.
Other: Lillie has no real comprehension of the rebellion, however is is trained to fight should her "Mistress" be in danger. Lillie also appears to be a younger version of Alicianne.

Job: A bit of an undercover helper of the rebellion.

Personality: She can be shy, but once she gets to know you, she's very social. She usually keeps to herself.
Other: She is tomboyish and enjoys playing with animals. Secretly, she doesn't really like the queen and is against her, helping out the rebels undercover.
