How many of you have already preordered Swap Force? I just did at GameStop so can get me a free LiteCore Hex!

I preordered both the wii and 3ds version. However after watching E3 and seeing how amazing the graphics will look on the xbox 360, I canceled the wii one and preordered the xbox version instead. So day one I'll have both a console and 3ds starter pack, as well as lightcore hex. By the way I preordered at Toys R Us so I got the free poster also.

I cant justify pre-ordering both versions when the 3DS is the SAME PRICE as the main console game. I hope the 3DS drops in price quickly, as I have a feeling Rattle Shake will probably not be a day 1 release knowing my luck. He'll be like Ignitor with the original 3DS game and take his sweet time for a release as a single.

I wish Toys R Us weren't so spread out, then I would have preordered one there...

One set to open and one to save. Plus I've read in several places that differe t retailers will have different freebies with them. Is that true? Does anybody know what the freebies are?

Skylanders Swap Force is headed as a launch title for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, a representative from Activision confirmed at E3 show.

I preordered the WiiU and 3DS versions from TRU. And depending on what this "interactive" bonus that Lesty mentioned is, I may preorder one of them at Target too.

Preordered with my PS4 at Gamestop. I've never had issues with them, though. The employees have come thru for me time and time.

The Pre-Order card from TRU says that you get a LC Hex and SwapForce Poster when you Pre-Order. The card should be located in the Electronic counter of your local TRU, I know mine is.

I did, Best Buy for WiiU, Amazon for 3DS. I get Reward Zone points at Best Buy and Amazon is tax free. I did two different places so I don't get the "only one free figure per customer stuff". I may change them if as time gets closer a better deal is revealed (like the TRU Buy 1 Get 1 40% off with Giants). But, it costs nothing to put in the order and reserve it in case there are truly "limited quantities" and that isn't just a disclaimer.

I went with WiiU instead of 360 this time because my sons prefer the WiiU, it runs cooler and is actually more powerful so possibly higher res and closer to the other next gen consoles. I won't be getting a XBone or PS4 anytime soon, I just don't see any reason to yet.

It was a $1 to preorder at Toys R Us. I don't see that option from the other retailers online. Do you have to pay for the whole $ amount? I see that Amazon on release date (10-13-13) will price match with any retailer that day which seems pretty cool.

I might swing into Toys R us this weekend to confirm the poster, though I doubt I'll change my pre-order stre for just a poster.

Online however Toys R us, mentions nothing about the poster bonus. On the other hand Toys R Us online has it where you can pre-order Swap Force for a whole $0.03 cheaper if you dont want the Lightcore Hex. Odd...

Im going right now to bestbuy to pick up my game "The Last Of Us" that i pre-order, while im there ill pre-order Swap Force.

I got the poster today at toys r us. They didnt have the display set up on the first day it was out so those people didnt get the poster. They are right next to the swap force spin wheel display at toyscr us.

I just walked into tru and got 2 posters as they were sitting there. I preordered the wii u at target (since i get 15% off with redcard and sis's employee discount) and prob going to tru for the 3ds version as i have a gift card i want to use. Doing both online as release day I plan to just walk in and buy skylanders and leave. Rather not deal with the preorder instore business. Besides these are going away for xmas so it doesnt matter if they get here as long as they do by dec 24th night.

So I ended up going out this evening, and I swung into the Toys R Us. They do have posters mentioned. Nothing exciting as it was just the old Washbuckler/Blast Zone one back when the game was first announced. They are giving them out with reservations though the display at mine is back behind the counter at the register. I talked to the employee working electronics for awhile and he ended up just giving me one for free.

I pre ordered it with Game Stop Ireland for Xbox.I still don't know if I get my LC Hex since they have not advertised it but I guess I will ask when I go there to get me Animal Crossing New Leaf.

My vote is for getting it in writing NOW, to make sure they're obligated to give you a LC Hex. Wouldn't seem fair that Americans get a guarantee, and all you can do is hope? Just because you don't live in America, that means you don't deserve a promise?

The least you can do is go ask, mention that pre-orders are getting a promise of LC Hex.

Speaking of, does anyone else notice that this move seems to be a blatant lack of confidence in Swap Force? That they're so worried about bad sales, they want a firmer idea on how it will sell, so they feel the need to bribe people to preorder it....

People have said that Skylanders 4 is confirmed and underway, but it sounds to me like it's shaky that #4 will see the light of day, that if Swap Force fails (like I suspect it might, and kinda hope it does, just as the price for all the slimy stuff Activision has been pulling), #4 will be cancelled.

The industry doesnt like used game sales. They want people to pay for the game new, thats why they give away stuff for pre-orders. Its a way to lock down the full price of the product. Compared to not getting any money from the used game sale. The odd thing is hardly the fact that there is an incentive with a pre-order, but more the fact that all the stores have the same exact thing.

Just yesterday I preordered the Xbox360 and 3DS versions. (I was preordering Pokemon X and Y and decided to knock all 4 out at once.) Now all I have to do is wait for October 13th... *Sigh*

Once I learn more about chapters and re-playability (demo guys basically said "why should we create more content---these sucker kids are fine playing the same crap over and over) I'll commit to buying / playing it on PS3. I don't see playing it on Wii this time due to graphics and reduced goals (no PS3/Xbox achievements etc).

I got a lot of flash and little substance from E3--I hope they clarify some of this in the months ahead. For me--I need more information on difficulty--are they mixing it up on characters that appear in addition to higher hit points required? I'd like more information on survival/online mode, number of chapters, side quests etc. If that means I wait to launch or near it to decide, so be it. It's going to be all or nothing for me, because I know once I start I won't stop.

I say Swap comes out in oct and lc hex is for sale solo OR she comes out solo shortly after for abit, maybe even grouped in some swap force wave 1 stuff. They have done crazier things with other lines of toys.

For retailers, it's all about market share. If a retailer can gain market share in a major title, it not only gives them more sales, it positions them in negotiations with vendors (like Activision) to have more leverage in future promotions, shipments (quantities) and in cost. Clearly nobody had to preorder call of duty in April, when it will be easily available in several stores when it releases in November. But those retailers want to lock their customers in.

Placed a pre-order on Amazon UK after I saw the price drop from £65 to £49.49. Only downside is they don't mention LC Hex at all so don't think they off that extra. Good thing with Amazon is pre-orders don't cast anything until release date and can be cancelled at anytime - like if I find a better offer or an exclusive starter pack pops up like a GITD version (hopefully)
