I am thinking of selling my legendries, Lightcores, and some S2. I am selling
LC Eruptor, LC Drobot, LC Prism Break, LC Jet-Vac, LC Shroomboom, All Legendries (except Chill) Whirlwind, Stump Smash, Cynder, Zap, Drill Sergeant. They are all fully upgraded and leveled up. What would you say is a decent price for them?

Loose?
$8 or less for each, except the Legendaries. Maybe $13+ for Zap?

Lightcore Eruptor/Drobot/Prism Break/Jet-Vac/Shroomboom are honestly worth $25 or less (combined) in used condition. Series 2 Whirlwind/Cynder/Stump Smash/Drilll Sergeant are all on the very low end of the Skylanders market .... those four combined probably worth $20 in used condition. Series 2 Zap is worth around $9. You can make some decent money with the Legendaries, however. Legendary Bouncer sells for over $20 recently, even opened/used. Legendary Slam Bam, Chop Chop, and Bash are all worth $10 to $15 each. Legendary Spyro can fetch $15 to $20 used.

You haven't heard the old saying about what's wrong when you "assume"?
The longer answer would be that whenever you assume, you invite yourself to be wrong. In this case, Legendary Spyro is from the first game, while Legendary Stealth Elf is from the second. So LStealth Elf is easier to get, so she's worth less. This might help. On another thread, a person shared this site. He said they monitor second-hand sales of Skylander figures, then average them out to figure out how much any figure is worth on a given day. Since it takes a few days to crunch the numbers, the end values are a few days behind, but it still makes for an excellent guideline. Check it out: http://videogames.pricechartin...es?sort-by=name

Ok, I have figured out the amount of money I would get from all of these, plus Prism Break or Terrafin, and it amounts to $154.02. I have another figure I am thinking of selling. The Golden Dragonfire Cannon. How much would THAT sell for?

Well done. I think that the combined value of the figures you described earlier (assuming that Legendary Bouncer, Legendary Bash, Legendary Spyro, Legendary Chop Chop, Legendary Stealth Elf, and Legendary Slam Bam are all included in your lot), in used condition, is between $140 and $150. However, please keep in mind that when you sell Skylanders in a large group, buyers on Ebay typically expect somewhat of a discount because they're buying lots of pieces all at once. If you want to get the maximum value for your used Skylanders, you must list, sell, and ship them individually. If that's too much hassle for you, then you should probably lower your expectations down to around $110-$125 if you're going to sell them in one large listing/lot. As for the Golden Dragonfire Cannon, it's special, but not that special. Probably worth $7 to $9 on the secondary market.

The entire total of what I would sell would be that much. I wouldn't sell all of them in a huge listing. I would sell them individually. As for the GDC, I would say that s a fair price, and cheaper than others on ebay.

I saw the Golden Dragonfire Pack in the store TODAY, so really not that special, LOL! And isn't it listed on the site I shared?
Also, remember that the prices listed ANYWHERE aren't a guarantee that's how much you'll get, it's just a guideline to what the current market value is, what you MIGHT be able to get. Depends on the buyer you find. Sometimes something will go for less, sometimes more. The number you're seeing is an average. And if you DO list things in one big listing, besides the issue already pointed out of a lower cost, also the people who can use LOTS of figures are the people who don't have any, the ones who aren't playing yet. That's a large expense towards a game they aren't playing yet, aren't addicted to yet. Which leaves people who DO play. With large lots, the larger the lot the higher the chances you're including figures they already have. Every duplicate is a vote against buying the listing. In the end, it's a LOT more work, more time consuming, but better to sell them separately. You'll probably get people who want more than one of your figures, at which point you can make a deal, especially on S&H.

Alright. I have everything figured out except two things
1.Who should I keep: S2 Terrafin or S2 Prism Break? 2. How do I figure out Shipping and handling? After that, I'll start buying boxes and posting the figures on eBay. |

Terrafin or Prism Break, it depends. Terrafin is REALLY handy in that he can go underground and be untouchable, but Prism is handy in that he can bust crystals. From SSA he was the only one, but I've noticed in Giants both Crusher and Flashwing can do it too. I would say it should come down to personal play style. Some people will do better with Terrafin, some with Prism Break, so it depends who fits YOU better. Seems like an odd choice to assign yourself, though (except that they're both Earth).
I've never sold anything on eBay, but as far as I know, eBay usually figures out the S&H. For manually combining them, that can be hard. You can take the amounts eBay gives you and just knock it down a little (like $7 and $5, just knock it down to $10 combined). Otherwise, do a little research. Go to the post office, maybe even bring a couple of figures with you, to check into rates (they may even have a list, I believe it tends to go by weight, but also size). Also check into UPS and Fed Ex and such, in case they're willing to pay more to get it faster. I believe anywhere in the continental U.S. is the same (for example, I think it would cost the same to send Thumpback to Florida as to California or Vermont. MAYBE Alaska and Hawaii included). Anywhere in Canada is the same as eachother as well. Beyond that I'm not sure, Europe might be all the same too. And all of this goes for whether you're in the U.S. or Canada. If you're quick about it, you can just go to the post office to ask if and when it comes up. Find out what they'll charge for whatever combination you need to check, then you can pass that number on to the buyer.

I'd recommend keeping Prism Break, since it's been revealed that Terrafin will have a S3 reposed figurine in Swap Force.
As for shipping and handling, I've found that if you choose to list Skylander on Ebay as "Buy It Now" purchases, then you'll attract WAY more customers by offering free shipping. If you list them in normal/regular auction-style listings, most sellers will add something between $2 and $4 for USPS 1st Class shipping, as a flat fee for Shipping and Handling. Weight and travel distance do not matter for 1st Class, as long as you do not exceed 13 ounces, even to Hawaii, Alaska, or Puerto Rico.

1. I do have a family get together sometime this month, so I will just ask my cousins who I should keep.
2. Hopefully the shipping wouldn't be too expensive, as I want to save for Swap-Force. Depending on what eBay would say about shipping and handling, I would bump down the price by that much, that way I could not pay shipping, and The customer would still pay that amount. Smart idea, don't you think? |

Actually, I JUST found out that Sonic Boom (though I was playing in SSA) can make them glow, too, but they wouldn't bust, no matter how much I attacked... I have Polar Whirlwind, but I can't remember her doing anything to crystals, I should specifically check. I know with all the trying I've done, only Prism Break would BREAK the crystals into a chunk of money, but back then I didn't have any version of Whirlwind. My nephews have S1 Whirlwind, though...
