I think it's more like guidelines that help you get your experience up, and then you start to use your own methods.

I try drawing on my own on certain things, when I can't do that I do borrow a base or technique that helps me do better, Of course I give credit to base maker.

Not your art, but fine for practice as long as you don't become dependent on any one source. Things like pictures from how to draw books should probably remain in the sketchbook instead of being posted online, but that's just my opinion.
Now things like cloud tutorials or whatever are more vague, and I feel like if you're learning a technique instead of copying a single picture, the work you do is yours.
