I'd be happy with one of each Skylander, regardless of whst series or rarity they are... Boomers one of those guys I'm chasing and hope he makes another appearence in SF

Probably what will happen is exactly what Matteomax said- Boomer will get an LC. Actually, I wouldn't be that surprised if ALL of the unreposed guys are the Lightcores. That's a few more dollars for characters that Activision KNOW people want/need and they also don't have to give the character all sorts of extra attacks and whatnot that a normal S3 version would have. (Granted that LCs are exactly the same in Swap Force as they were in Giants)

I like sprocket as a series three but would 100% prefer boomer getting a repose over another trigger happy repose.

if they follow the tech pattern for reposes it looks like it'll be 1 from SSA and 1 newlander from giants for the reposed 16 for swap force. I would think boomer and perhaps spyro and cynder would be getting the LCs since reposing either spyro or cynder would seem strange and unneeded. Considering all their variations and how many have so many ways of their figure out for several I would think they would do less of them.

I'm rather upset about it as well, and refuse to accept it as fact.

Also, I'd like to know why everyone thinks the LC for each element will be a seperate character other than the newlanders and S3 reposed. Assuming the Sprocket and Trigger Happy reposes are real, who's to say the tech LC isn't going to be Sprocket, Trigger Happy, or one of the 2 newlanders?

Did they release a list of what is getting reposed? I missed it if they did. Can someone point me to the right direction?

I think he'll get a lightcore, I think that he'll be smashing some TNT on the ground, and the explosion bit will light up.

I don't think it's at all a possibility that ALL the Lostlanders will be Lightcores. After all, look at Giants: Only half of the Lightcores, 4, were old characters, the other 4 were new. They'll do the same with Swap Force. Not sure if it'll be half/half SSA/Giants, half old (SSA or Giants) characters and half new, or a try at evenly dispersing it between all 3 games (It would be easier if there were 9 elements, of course), but it seems impossible that all 8 will be SSA characters.

UNLESS! They release more than one Lightcore per element, like 2 or 3 per element. But with how disappointing they've been with Lightcores, how many Lightcore figures can the market take?

I feel drobot will go this route as most parents prob got the lightcore one already and will pass on this one along with single jetvac.

As for boomer, id love to see a lightcore where his tnt or even his fists light up. maybe in a smash the ground pose etc.

YA that's true.

I don't think automatically saying Boomer won't get a S3 when there's barely any details out isn't the right thing right now. Until all the returning figures are revealed, whether Boomer will come back or not will be speculation right now.

I am hoping that they do something different with Legendaries this time around. Perhaps making SF legendaries out of some of the unreposed 8.

Don't get me wrong, I feel it's certain that all the Lostlanders will be back for SF. They were neglected for Giants, it's their turn now.

No they were retired and with a few drops at who the tech 2 are out of the 16 we know boomer is not a repose. There's going to be more retired figures and that leads me to believe that there's only so many times they can update these figures between games.(The leveling for example and compatibility) Still points more toward sf being the last game. I think acti is still going to use the portal like technology but the games after sf will be different.

If they bring some back as lightcores I would be surprised but I would forget on the "forgotten 8" getting a repose because the list of retired figures is going to grow.

If you can managed to watch the interviews on the skylanderkids videos where they get the info on the other series 3 figures. The guy at TFB states that they are working on a 4th game and the reason that they are not making swap force is so that they can have 2 years to make the game. He also states that they will be rotating releases with the other studio so they EACH have two years to make their games, but you have to listen closely to that EACH. Now if you know activision, this is the same way they do Call of Duty. Every year the releases flip studios. So barring a complete and total failure of one of the games, I'd say that we will be seeing skylanders for atleast a few more years. Do I personally think the franchise will last that long? Honestly no, not with without a serious streamline of figures.

This is correct. Assuming Camo gets a S3 and/or LC.

This opens up some questions:

Can I use an old (SSA/SG) character who is getting a Swap Force repose with the original portal in one of the original two games?
Can I use an old character in Swap Force repose with the original portal in the new game?
Can I use the old figures in the new game with the original portal?

Basically, to what extent do you need the new portal? Just when using the swappable characters, anytime when playing Swap Force, or anytime you're using a "Swap Force" branded toy?

Potentially the same reason the new figures don't work with the previous games. If the older games aren't programmed to recognize it (or, more correctly, the new portal isn't designed in such a way that the old games know how to talk to it), then it wouldn't work.

Well according to research the 4 lightcores from ssa (eruptor hex drobot and prisim break)

they will work in ssa but won use their lightcore blast

He says "It seems likely", this does not say Boomer will be released, but that the writer who is not affiliated with Acti or TFB thinks it may. I am sorry, but I wouldn't count on it.

As for the "And I'd peek eastward a little later this year." comment, I read that as a hint at Asian markets for black market products. And I do not that most will want to go that route and would prefer the legitimate product. I could be wrong though.

At least I got Boomer as soon as I can during SSA, as I wanted every figure back then.

Sounds exactly like when I said it: No inside information whatsoever, just basing these statements from logic. It simply makes sense that since the 8 characters were left out of Giants, it's their turn with Swap Force, and someone ELSE'S turn to be left out. If they don't repose the 8 Lostlanders, it'll be like a slap in the face to anyone who liked/wanted them. In the interests of maximizing sale-ability, they have to rerelease all 8.

^ Thou I would like to at least see boomer and Ghost Roaster. The others can be found at TRU or online at least easier, now I know this info is USA only and not everyone, but on ebay wham shell and dino-rang go for around 20 on ebay and some TRu have the whamshell castle thingy, my store has like 20 of them on clearance for $25. Camo and Warnado go around $25-$30 as the triple which seems to be left over stock as i keep seeing TRu putting them out around here.Boomer is $35ish used and even more new, ghost is hitting $50 used and higher!

Sunburn can be found in the skypeaks pack which was more common in March but I' seeing less and less of them as of late.

I don't foresee Boomer or Ghost Roaster getting a reboot/repose in Swap Force.

I have no idea how Activision selects which characters become "retired", but I feel confident saying that leaving some characters "retired" is indeed part of their long-term planning for the Skylanders franchise.
So far we know that Stealth Elf, Eruptor, and Terrafin are all getting ANOTHER repose for the Swap Force series.

Ya i think they arent either, i'm just hoping. I think they know ppl want them and will hold off on releasing them again to keep that demand up. ppl may play thru swap force andstill want them and BAM skylanders 4 gets them.

I'm happy to have my lost 8 thou i have no card for boomer as i misplaced it somewhere along with the first few giants cards. /Shrug

I'm going to go into the corner and conceal my Boomer in a huge vault.

What's a good price for booomer? The cheapest I've found the darklight crypt sealed is 85 $ which most sealed are 100 or more so I think I might get it over boomer if he is usually the same price. The auction ends in 24 hours so any help would be appreciated Thanks.
