... Huh?

I finally got your reference to Mokai! It's a place in Lair, right?
I still don't get the Iblis one, though. Is it something related to Lair too?

Quote: Shrazer320
Oh, and your English is actually very nice.

Mokai is actually what one of the civilizations in Lair is called. They call their city Mokai City, and the other civilization is living in a city called Asylia, thus they are called Asylians.
As for Iblis, which means "devil" in Spanish (or something), is a character from Sonic Next Gen; you'll need to read about Iblis, Mephiles, and Solaris to totally understand Iblis.

Why don't they come out and say that it's gonna be at least Cynder? *shot for very hopeful wishing*

Quote:
We're playing the 'next gen' versions - Xbox 360 and PS3 - and not only does Spyro look older but the gorgeous HD graphics give everything a more modern look.

smilie But the "HD" TV we have only supports 480p (or i, I can't remember)! Damn old crap. ...But I'm also still using RCA cables for my PS3, so I think I'm gonna start pestering my mother to sell that huge thing so we can get a new TV.

Quote:
"Let's start with the free form flying - Spyro and Cynder are able to fly wherever they want when above ground - the game will see a mix of indoor levels and open environments."

Nice...

Quote:
"Our flying works differently to many games with flying," says Edith. "Superman or Lair were not very good. We understood why."

I'd like to slap her/him. Lair was damn good, even if the motion control only option at first was impossible; after the patch(es), it's the best game I've EVER and probably ever will play.

Quote:
Pressing A or X will set you off, but you have to almost rhythmically time your subsequent presses to keep you in the air and build up momentum.

Alright, I don't think this is worth 60 bucks.

Quote:
And, of course, on the PS3 version you'll be able to use the Sixaxis controller's motion-sensing technology to fly, Lair style, if you fancy that.

They better have a training/free-form area like Lair then.

Quote:
Puzzles are incorporated into the flying sequences, too. Spyro will be forced to carry items in his mouth at certain points, items which weigh him down and restrict his ability to fly.

Like tapping the X button and left down pressing with Lair was bad enough for enough speed (and with the Wind Dragon, you can't even see straight).

Quote:
In one sequence, one player needs to grip on to a boat while the other pulls by flying.

...

What?

Quote:
The God of War references come from the revamped, more complex combat system. Both Spyro and Cynder have four elements at their disposal, which consume elemental energy gathered from orbs. Spyro has fire, as you'd expect, ice, electricity and earth. But it's Cynder's elemental attacks which we're most interested in - poison, wind, fear and shadow - all nice and dark and evidence of Etranges Libellules' more mature approach with the title.

And it's sounding ruined.

Quote:
Each element has two separate attacks, one heavy and one light. Spyro's earth element, for example, fires an earth missile attack or, alternatively, brings an enemy-clearing earth boulder attack from the sky.

I doubt it'll be useful against anything besides the little enemies that take one or two melees to kill.

Quote:
"We wanted to have enemies that were made from existing materials," explains Edith. "Each of our enemies is made from a different element. They are destructible. Some of them even have elemental shields."

That's cliche even to Manuel and I's roleplays in Yahoo Messenger!

Quote:
Perhaps Spyro's most impressive foe, however, is an enormous golem so huge it's got a small town on its back. Think PS2 classic Shadow of the Colossus but even bigger.

I call that Iblis.

Quote:
The third level - the Valley of Avalar, thrust us in a fight to save a village from being burnt to a crisp. The village itself has a health bar, displayed at the bottom of the screen.

1) Yay, something from the older games I really liked;
2) Sounds like something Lair, like when you have to destroy the "Armory".

Quote:
The game's fourth level, which we got hands-on time with exclusively during our studio visit, is set in Dragon City itself.

At least I don't see "Mokai" in the dictionary like I do with "dragon".

Quote:
You spend your time repairing catapults and escorting artillery moles so that they can be fired into the incoming invasion force. It's actually quite intense - you need to keep the artillery moles alive so that they can fire the catapults by defeating the baddies that make it over the wall.

Why would DRAGONS be doing this!?

Quote:
...at times refreshing action game that's well worth keeping on your radar

Yeah, for Christmas.

Quote:
The Dawn of the Dragon looks in great shape and should round the trilogy off nicely.

Like I've thrown up enough in my mouth already!

I'm not happy at all with this. I think I'll wait until Christmas for this, or if everyone's whinning so much for help I'll get it. I couldn't be bothered to watch hardly any of the trailer either: the wing flapping sound was horrible, and I won't even START about the leash for them.

where did U find this?????? the information looks OK and at least it has avalar in it! and the leash is 2 player and who knows the game might rock or suck BUT WE WILL HAVE TO SEE!

Well, I don't really like the fact that they've made Spyro older, I think he looked rather cute in ANB/TEN.

Shame man, Cynder wasn't really my favourite, but why should she die?

We all know Ignitus is going to die... come on, the characters like him always die in the most tragical way! As for Cynder, it's very unlikely she'll die, being the only female dragon (or female being for that matter) in the TLoS series so far.

Well, of course I don't! Did I say somewhere in my post I did? What I said was that Ignitus dying is very likely to happen and, after the endless succession of cliches that was the plot in AnB and TeN, I kinda lost any hope I had to see something a little unconventional in DotD's plot.
