Of course, before this place had moderators, people had pretended to "enforce" rules in small and major ways beyond merely reporting. Multiple reasons to this, and it has never, necessarily been against the rules. Around the times moderator applications were just opened, people took up their mini-moding to a new level, especially those who had applied, and yet not many - perhaps none of them? - actually got the position from what I observed.

So, as the job to enforce, remind people of the rules, delete and/or just generally make the site a better environment for users has been appointed, moved from one person (dark52) to multiple. Over time, the powers of moderators have shifted and many have found settlement. There is still mini-moding, of course.

However, down to the question: If you ever did before, do you still mini-mod? Why?

Or did you start mini-moding after moderators were picked (assuming you were joined before they were)? Why?

Not on this site, but sometimes.

There's one RP on a pokemon forum I tend to mini-mod in rather often. Though at times I'll do other things in other topics.

I am a global mod in another forum besides that, so.... I do mini-mod there, but it's not so much mini-modding as actual modding.

I do, in the fanart section. Because I don't wish for my fellow users to get into federal trouble with huge companies when making meme-atars. Also to point out the most common rule broken over there: Constructive criticism. I also go around fanart giving advice to others as well.

I also think there should be like mods in training section, so there would be better mods in the future. Or at least mini mods as a legit class for sub sections.

Yea, people will just throw cow patties and stomp on their feet when you try to get them to try and obey the rules kindly.

What can I say, smartass? The way some overreact over someone double posting it seems like they will start acting that way.
Half of them don't even do it kindly, some do but most I've seen are just demanding and act like it's the end of the world or something.
