PLOT:
The world had changed over the many generations, and things crumbled, and formed. Disappeared, or changed. A new country, Atania, has risen from the ashes of the fallen world. And the government had been replaced by tribes of people, all at war with one-another, with a few of their citizens gifted, possessing special powers. These people, mainly teenagers, were trained in special forces to complete their tribes tasks. They were thought of either dangerous power-users, or slaves. The tribes often used the teenagers for war and personal gain. This caused rebellion. A small group of the teenagers abandoned their tribe, and formed an alliance. But it is very difficult to escape a tribe, and not many are successful. Loners are rare and often killed on sight, or imprisoned by the tribes. The future looks bleak for the teenagers. But when a small group, possessing more power than any power-users before them, come together, the world could go on a crash course to freedom, or could get even worse than before.

TRIBES:

The tribes are scattered among the remaining part of the earth. The RP takes place far in the future, so most of the land has been destroyed from many causes. The tribes are named after their biome, or terrain type. You can only join open tribes, for they will open and close frequently, to make sure there is an even amount of people in each tribe. There are 4 tribes. You can also be a loner, but that position will open and close as well.

Desert Tribe: This tribe is very powerful, but very poor. They have a great army, but their citizens don't fair well with the lack of food and water. They use their power-users as military generals, and they are treated like gods.
The tribe is located in a barren landscape, with few trees and plants. But most of the living areas are underground. The area has a complex system of tunnels, and many secret passages.
Most of the Desert Tribe members don't interact with other tribe members, unless they are in the army.

Forest Tribe: This tribe is rather strong, and is very reclusive. They are often pursued for their food supply, as well as resources like wood and stone, as well as minerals. Their landscape is very rich in food and water, but the water is often poisoned by competing tribes, killing many of their people. The forest area also leaves them vulnerable to disease. Their power-users are used as slaves to do all of the local work, like finding food as well as clean water, and they are also used as military slaves.
The tribe is located in the dense forest, south of the Desert Tribe. They have a series of small camps and treehouses, and are often in hiding due to invasions from other tribes. They do interact with other tribes, but in most scenarios, the other tribes are trying to kill them.

Mountain Tribe: This tribe is very strong, and is one of the most feared tribes. Their citizens are not in poverty, but they aren't rich, either. They have an incredibly strong army, for their area has stone and minerals. Their landscape isn't sustainable for food, so they often raid other tribes for their supply. They have very clean water, and are northeast of the Forest Tribe. They treat their power users like army generals, and often listen to whatever they have to say. The power-users there often take charge of things, unless they have offended a law or have disobeyed, then they work as slaves to the higher ranked power-users.
The area has a tunnel system similar to the Desert Tribe's. most homes are outdoors, however. They do contact other tribes, and often discuss alliances or trade.

Peak Tribe: This is the oldest tribe, and the most powerful. They have less power-users, but the power-users they do have are very powerful. Their tribe is the dominant tribe, and is at war with the other tribes for supplies, for they have a shortage of water. Their tribe is on the top of an inactive volcano, and is on the highest point of Atania. They are attacked for their weapon supply, as well as the other tribes wanting dominance. Their power-users are treated like normal people, until they reach the age of 16, then they are sent to war.
The area is on an inactive volcano, so not much plant or animal life is found there. They have to raid other tribes for food. They do not have a network of tunnels like other tribes, but they take their natural surroundings, and make shelter there, such as caves, or areas protected by old craters or valleys. They do not interact with other tribes, unless they are raiding them, or being raided.

Loners: Power-users that escaped a tribe, and live on their own, always in hiding. They have to constantly be on the run, and are almost always attacked. Some of them are in a small alliance, that is rising up against the tribes to find justice for the power-users.

CHARACTERS:
They can belong to any one tribe, or they can be a loner. This is the chart you can choose from, the tribes will open and close frequently, to keep things even:

You can choose almost any power, but be specific. Don't range it to a variety of things, just because we don't want people to be too powerful, and we want to allow overlapping powers. Example: shape shifting. Be specific. Into what? That way, we can allow multiple people to have the same power, just altered differently to each character.

Power: Can camoflauge so he becomes unseen, his camoflauge works much better when he's around nature.
Appearance: Blond hair, Average height. Slim. Very pale.
Personality: Always very worried, even if he doesn't look like it. Tries to be nice, but fails sometimes.
Bio: Ooc: The bio is the characters backstory right?
Other: Known to faint occasionaly.

OOC: Yes, it's their backstory.

Bio: Miles always felt out of place, living in the Peak tribe. He was proud to be a Power-user, but compared to the other Power-users of the Peak tribe, he felt a bit weak. Most of the others could do something extremely devastating, while all Miles could do was camouflage. When the Peak tribe got raided by another tribe who wanted to be dominant, Miles saw the horrors of the raids. Since then he has dreaded the day he turns 16, when he will be sent to war. He felt like time was going faster, now that he was worrying about it so much. One thing is certain to Miles though. He needs to escape the Peak tribe before he turns 16.

Personality: Shy, but if on her bad side, aggressive. She is kind and caring.
Bio: As a kid, her parents left her and joined the military. When the Forest Tribe found she had a strong power, they made her become a slave at 3. She now longs to become a loner and with the help of Delgato, she hopes to reach that dream.
Other: She is harshly treated because she refuses to work over half the time.

Power: Able to run at sonic speed.
Appearance:



Personality: Short-tempered and stubborn, along with a mysterious air. He is also very sly.
Bio: At 5, Delgato ran into Alyx. The two explained how they both wanted to get away and become loners. Delgato now secretly meets with Alyx every full and new moon to plan out ideas to get away.
Other: He secretly goes out every night for a run for exercise.

Appearance: Long brown hair, green eyes, and a dark green t-shirt with a few small holes, and jeans with many small holes. The wolf she can change into has brown fur, and green eyes, as well as white paws, and a white tipped tail.
Personality: Shy and cunning, she is an expert at staying hidden, but she struggles to get enough resources from tribes she raids.
Bio: Micky belonged to the Forest Tribe until the day she turned 15. She managed to escape her tribe during a raid, and the Tribe predicted her killed in the raid. She has always been on the run in the outlands near the Forest Tribe, and often raids them during the night. She doesn't miss her abusive parents, but she sometimes feels alone and isolated. She always feels like a criminal for having a power, so she doesn't use it often.
Other: She stays hidden most of the time, and has almost been caught 3 different times, one of those times, she almost died.

Tribe: Peak Tribe
Power: Has the ability to control electricity.
Appearance: Short black hair, blue eyes, a grey hoodie, and jeans.
Personality: Shy and kind, but won't hesitate to attack if threatened.
Bio: Bryan had always worried about his 16th birthday, and when the time came, he had nowhere to run. He was drafted into the war, and had killed many people. That greatly affected his personality, and made him more on edge. He became very unsocial, and always felt like he needed to escape. But he didn't know how to pull it off, and he can't seem to clear his troubled mind.
Other: He is very timid, and often attacks things that surprise or scare him out of reflex.

Name: Bridget
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Tribe: Desert Tribe
Power: Has the ability to control fire.
Appearance: Long light brown hair, brown eyes, dark brown t-shirt and jeans with many holes.
Personality: Sly and quick to react, very smart, but not very athletic or skilled in warfare.
Bio: Bridget had always been respected by her tribe, until she reached the age of 14. They thought she wouldn't be good at warfare, and they treated her like she was useless after that. She now lives a normal life among the tribe's citizens, and is forbidden to use her power or come in contact with people involved in the war. She now hates her home, and wants to escape, to prove herself good at something.
Other: She isn't allowed to use her power where she lives, so she isn't very familiar with her power.

Tribe: Desert
Power: Can slow time to analyze the environment around him to use it to his advantage. Highly increased reflexes.
Appearance: Medium brown hair, skinny and muscular but more on the skinny side, almost never wears a shirt, tattered tan pants.
Personality: Courageous, considers himself humorous, optimistic, and plain happy.
Bio: When he was younger, he experienced these time slowdowns. Junak thought they were anxiety attacks, because that's what he was told all his life. He soon figured out he could use these time slowdowns to his advantage, giving him time to think about what he could do by analyzing his enemy and the things around him.
Other: Uses his power to do parkour.

OOC: Accepted! We will start momentarily.

Bryan awoke to the sound of rain pounding on the ceiling of his shelter. It was almost impossible to hear the sound of someone knocking on the small door to his little military cabin. Bryan heard the knock, but quickly dismissed it as more rain. The knock became louder, and thunder cracked overhead. Bryan sat up and stretched, and swung his feet over the edge of his bed. "It's open!" He called out lazily, trying to be louder than the rain. A large man opened the door and stepped inside the cabin, leaving wet, muddy footprints all over the floor. "We attack the Forest Tribe at dawn for food supplies. Don't be late." The mans words were barely audible through the sound of the rain and thunder. Bryan gave a quick, respectful nod, and the man left the cabin as quickly as he appeared. Bryan slumped back down on his bed. "I don't think I can kill any more people." He murmured to himself. It was impossible to hear over the rain. "But what can I do?"

Miles paced around his little hut. "What can I do?" He whispered. He was considering many ways to escape the Peak tribe before his sixteenth birthday. "I can't kill. I'm weak. All I can do is hide. I won't last a minute when they send me to war." Miles had heard there was going to be an invasion on the Forest tribe at dawn. This scared him badly, as he thought about some of his friends dying. He lay down on his uncomfortable bed. Thoughts of invasions rushed through his mind. Images of people being killed in brutal ways accompanied his dark thoughts of war. I need sleep... Miles thought. He closed his eyes very tight, trying not to think about the raids. At last, he drifted into a light sleep.

OOC: Here ya go, HDAZ, I'm posting.

"Get working and stop loafing around!" yelled one of the men.

Alyx shook her head.
"You do the work. I'm on strike." she said.

The man cracked a whip at her and it struck its mark harshly. Alyx crumpled to her knees with a cry of pain.

"Delgato, where are you going?" asked a girl, walking up to Delgato, who had been sneaking out for a run.

"Uh... nowhere in particular..." Delgato said.

"I know you better than that Delgato. You're going for a run, aren't you? Just don't let the chief find out." she said.

Delgato nodded and watched as the girl bounced off.

Miles woke up in a snap. He had an awful nightmare, of him being sent to war. "Why can't I stop thinking these awful thoughts!" Miles shouted in frustration, slamming his fist onto his wooden nightstand. He arose out of bed and walked outside. He didn't care if it was pouring. It made him feel better to be outside, than cooped up in his sorry excuse of a home. He let the rain run down his face for a minute. After cooling down, he let out a deep breath and walked inside again. He lay down on his uncomfortable bed again. "I will escape. I have to."

Delgato headed outside of camp and started running. The rain soaked his black hair and matted it to his face but he didn't care. It felt refreshing. He hoped poor Alyx was well.

Alyx dug up some minerals and tossed them into a pile, the rain drenching her silver hair.

Alyx sighed and collapsed into an exhausted heap.

"I didn't say you were done!" yelled the man, cracking the whip again.

"I say I'm done!" yelped Alyx and she stood up and left the camp. She looked for Delgato.

Bryan woke again, for it was morning. He went through his usual morning routine, and gathered at the base of the small military camp. The place was divided into two groups, normal soldiers, and power-users. The power-user group was very small, and Bryan always felt like the odd one out, for he was tall and skinny, and the others were about average height and buff. "We leave now for the Forest Tribe." The general boomed. It was raining less now that morning came, but it was still pouring. "Let's move out." The general sneered, and turned, heading in the direction of the Forest Tribe. The small group followed silently. "I need to think of something fast. I can't kill anyone else. I just can't stand it. But what can I do, on such short notice?" Bryan thought to himself.

Delgato saw Alyx over the horizon.
"What are you doing?!? Don't you know your tribe is being attacked?!" he said.

Alyx was horrified.
"It is?!? Come with me then." she said. She grabbed Delgato's hand and yanked him back toward her camp.

OOC: Bad idea Alyx...

Miles woke up, hearing the generals booming voice. He had the misfortune of living close to the military camp. He tried to cover up the sound and get some more rest, when the idea struck. "I know! I will sneak into the army, and in the midst of the raid, escape!" It was unoriginal, but genius. Miles sprinted out of the hut and caught up with the army. He went into the bigger group of the non power users, hoping not to draw attention to himself.

"Where's Delgato?" Asked the woman as she walked around camp. "He should be back now..."


Delgato followed Alyx into her camp.
"No raid. Yet." He muttered under his breath.

Miles took a quick glance around. He wanted to make sure no one had seen him. I guess I'm safe... for now. All of a sudden, Miles started to feel a little regret about this. Is it really worth being a loner? They get killed on the spot when they're found usually. But I can't turn back now. So Miles made his final decision and marched on with the group.

Bryan's group made it to the very edge of Forest Tribe territory, when the general gave instruction. He assigned different locations for the power-users to attack. Bryan got one of the most dangerous areas, for he was one of the stronger power-users in the army. Bryan reluctantly separated from the group, and snuck near his post, head hanging low, feeling terrible and sick to his stomach. He passed the large group of regular soldiers, feeling jealous. "These people got a choice. They decided to be here. I can't escape now, though. Too many people around. I-- I'll have to kill more people... And I just can't do that anymore." Bryan made it to his location, by the base of a very large tree, and waited, silently, for the signal.

Delgato heard soldiers and drew a long sword.

Alyx looked at Delgato and took two long daggers. She then lifted a few swords to surround the two of them with telekinesis. She stood with her back to Delgato.

Bryan's breath quickened, and he grew very nervous. He heard voices. "I have to do it, I have to do it, I have to do it..." He repeated to himself. The general looked around hastily, and started to file the regular soldiers into their places.

Delgato was bored, but alert.
"Hurl one of the swords into the bushes over there. I sense a person." he said.

Alyx nodded and with her telekinesis, she flung the blade with accuracy.

Bryan winced as he saw a blade launch into the bushes beside him. "More power users? Of course. I guess I can't escape today. If my tribe doesn't catch me, they will." Bryan kept still and quiet, determined not to be found until the general gave the signal.

Miles got his position, nervous as ever. He flinched at every little sound. [i Maybe this will be better if I camoflauge.[/i] Miles stood with his back against a tree. He felt his body blending itself in. All of a sudden, Miles felt a sneeze coming on. Don't do it. Don't do it. But the sneeze came out anyway. Miles felt his cheeks getting hot, and he wished he could just sink into the tree.

"You're aim is becoming worse, Alyx." Said Delgato.

Alyx blushed.

"I'm going to go check out where you threw the dagger because I sense somebody is there. A power user like us, I think. Back me up." Said Delgato.

Alyx nodded and had a few blades follow Delgato as he walked toward Bryan's hiding place.

Bryan gave a half-hearted glare to Miles, for he almost gave them away. "I don't remember him being in the army." he thought. He suddenly heard more voices, and hearing their conversation, Bryan's breath quickened. He heard footsteps coming towards him, and he felt paralyzed with fear. He looked frantically at the area, looking for somewhere to escape to, to avoid being caught. He glanced desperately at the general, silently begging for the signal.

Micky woke with a crick in her neck. The position on the branch of the large oak tree she fell asleep in made herself stiff and uncomfortable. She stretched, and grabbed the branch above her, hoisting herself up. She made a quick glance around, and realized she was alone. That was good. But she was very low on food, and had a small supply of water left. She needed to go looking for supplies. She was nearest to the Forest Tribe, so that was where she would start. She climbed higher up in the tree, to get a better view of the area. "Large crowd over by the Forest Tribe boundaries." With a quick hesitation, she realized the area was about to be raided. "Perfect opportunity to sneak in and get what I need." Micky said with a devious smile.

Delgato came through the bushes and saw Bryan. He picked the boy up by the collar of his shirt.
"You're not part of the Forest Tribe." he said with a glare.

Bryan was terrified, but kept a steady face. From the corner of his eye, he saw the general slowly raise his hand. The signal was about to be given. He just had to keep his opponent busy until then. But he was petrified, and couldn't find anything to say.

Miles, still camoflauged, saw that Bryan was being picked up by another boy. He had no idea what to do. Bryan's been in the army for awhile. He can handle this. But what if the boy kills him? Then I'll live with guilt for the rest of my life. Miles couldn't decide. Bryan could handle his own battles, but Miles couldn't bear to see someone get killed. I could mess up this whole raid and my chance to escape if I try to help. Finally, Miles decided to just stay put, no matter what.

Delgato noticed the general's hand.
"Alyx. get over here. I need back up." he said.

Alyx ran over with several daggers floating behind her.
"So you found the boy, huh?" she asked.

Delgato nodded.

The daggers and swords floated around the three, giving protection.

"Are you a power user too?" asked Alyx. "if so, we mean no harm. Right, Delgato?" Alyx asked.

Delgato silently nodded, still holding Bryan by his collar.

Bryan raised an eyebrow, not knowing what they were up to. "Maybe..." He said uncertainly. He darted his gaze to the general, who quickly, and silently, arched his hand downward, giving the signal to attack.

Delgato watched the general.
"Don't get suspicious. We're power users like you. We just want to escape." he said.

Alyx nodded.

Bryan sighed with relief. "Alright. Cool. Now can you please let me go?" He asked as many of the soldiers went in to attack the tribe.

Alyx hurled a dagger that just missed one of the men.
"Shoot. My aim really does suck." she said.

"Why? SO you can go kill more people. That's not what you want. I can tell." growled Delgato.

As the soldiers rushed in to raid the tribe, Miles sprinted over to Bryan, who now had a boy and girl around him. "Let him go!" Miles shouted at both of them.

Alyx whipped around, a new dagger in her hand, but she saw nothing.
"Another power user. Show yourself." she growled.

"I'm not going to kill anybody." Bryan said quietly, so nobody else but them could hear. "I just need to look like I'm doing something. I had an entire plan worked out until you showed up. So let me go!"

"You want me to show myself? Let Bryan go first." Miles said, more calmly, pacing around all of them.

"If it includes escaping your tribe, I guess I could let you go...Cause you know, they aren't kind to power users who don't follow the rules." said Delgato, gesturing to Alyx, who was covered in scrapes, cuts, burns, bruises and gashes from hard labor. "Not killing could get you punished." he said.

Alyx sighed.
"How about I just hurl a dagger see if I find you?" she said, twirling a dagger in her fingers and listening to Miles footsteps.

"I wouldn't do that." Bryan snapped. "You won't be throwing blades at anyone here."

Alyx sighed and turned back to Bryan.

"You could just escape with us. We've been planning it for awhile now." said Delgato.

"Take your shot. I'm not afraid of you." Miles said, trying to go more quietly now. Why did I say that? I'm dead for sure now...
