I recently went to Wal-Mart and found Ninjini. It was the last giant I needed. I was happy to have found her and put her in my cart. I walked to the cash register and put down Ninjini. However though, there was a problem. IT WAS RECALLED. The cash register told me sorry and said that it had to do something with the paint on the Ninjini. I came home severly dissapointed for I may never see her again.

Pfft, trust me, it wasn't because of the paint. Either an employee trying to snag her by tweaking the system, or she doesn't work.

That is interesting. I know within last year a couple of my sons toys were recalled due to lead paint--they were manufactured in china. But I've never heard that about Skylanders --ever.

Actually, Moon and Matteo, neither are true. It's coming up 'sale not allowed' like it is a street dated item. Which, it is not. They've been taken to the back until it is all sorted. It has nothing to do with paint or employees purchasing them. No one is allowed to purchase them.

Hubio, you shoulda just told him "Sir, if it's not to be sold, then why is it out?". If he says "It's a mistake", you say "If it's NOT to be sold, then why did you put it out. If it's out, then it's pretty much saying it's available to be bought. This isn't my fault, it's your fault. You can put back whatever ninjini's that are left back into the back, but I'm demanding that this is your fault, so I should be able to buy it"

So, if I am interpreting this correctly ... Wal-Mart has now screwed up with their release of Scarlet Ninjini like Target did (initially) in March with Jade Flashwing? In other words, the figures are in the stockrooms and some ignorant employees are shelving them, but they weren't supposed to do that, so the sales are being locked-out at the register?

^ Are you sure about that?

Why on earth would regular Ninjini be being pulled off the shelves? She's been out and available for over a month.

He said it was Ninjini, not Scarlet. Yeah, it's weird and stupid but that doesn't mean it isn't what it is.

Even then, if it turns out it actually was Scarlet that was seen, why should be a suprise or a big deal that an employee put her on the shelf early? Target did it with Jade AND Scarlet, and BestBuy (at least in Canada) did the same thing with Scarlet. Employees appear to have a trend of being stupid with this stuff and putting stuff out early. Not much of a suprise if it happened.

Strange...

I don't know how it could be a release date thing, I bought Ninjini at gamestop 2 months ago. On a side note, if there is a recall I would like to know that as well, especially if its due to lead paint.

strange...

Someone mostly screwed up and when setting a date for scarlet set one for reg also, hence both now cant be sold till so and so date. Thats teh only conclusion i can come up with. I'm going to walmart for lunch, ill see if i can find a reg ninjni while there.

I think BahamutBreaker is exactly right- MoonHorizons, was the Ninjini you found red at all? You may have happened to find Scarlet Ninjini. (The way the employee probably described it was that the paint was different on her- essentially she's painted differently.

If not, it's also popular that Walmart misinterpreted the memo for release- accidentally "recalling" ALL Ninjini characters. More than likely the "recall" is simply to they don't have to say "oh yeah, it's locked until a certain date", which'd probably simply make customers upset.

I wouldn't exactly blame an individual employee for the problem though. From what it seems from all the mishaps in release, employees aren't being TOLD anything about "release dates". That's the thing that I constantly leave on surveys from the stores- employers need to TALK to employees about what goes out, and what doesn't. And if something isn't supposed to go out, it needs to be marked as such. (That's not to mention that employees need to simply be educated on the products they're selling) It's unfortunately probably a pipe dream to hope that every employee knows every little thing that comes out but still...this is what, like the 3rd time products have been set out early?

I apparently made a mistake. It just came up on the register saying "No Sale." So there isn't anyway she couldn't have tooken it from me except by cheating the system.
